I know, but I didn't think many would understand that's the one I'd be I'm referring to in my post. I don't want to even hint that hulk could be equated to that crappy theatrical one.

I'll admit the x3 clown gang magneto teams up with had cool powers except for porcupine guy, but they weren't interesting. In the end I juset felt like I played a videogame at the arcade.

That's a perfect analogy. X3 felt pretty empty to me and by the end I really didn't care for any of the characters. I mean, several prominent characters died, and the movie made me feel like I couldn't have cared less...something is wrong with that.

At least with Hulk they attempted to make a quality movie with depth and character. The director tried things. Some scenes are quite gorgous to look at.

With X3, they didn't really try. That movie rushed through scenes. The dialogue was terrible.
Storm: Hank, I like what you've done with your hair.
Hank: I like what you've done with yours!

Then theres this awkward moment where she touches her hair. The whole movie felt awkward. The actors literally had nothing to work with. Nobody had any development. Angel - what was the point? Beast - A character that had more screentime than most - absolutely no development. Scott - dies off screen.

What was the point of Wolverine going to the forest? Wolvie is in the mansion, then he's in Magneto's camp, gets in a pointless fight, gets beaten by Mags, then he's back in the mansion. Is Mags' camp like 5 minutes away from the mansion?!

The movie has a horrible pace.

X3's pacing was like an 8 year old on a sugar binge, most of the dialogue was merely expositional to get from action beat to the next
Hulk was slow but it gave the chance to get to know who and why these ppl were and what their relationships were

The pacing in Hulk is far worse.

There is a difference between slow pacing and bad pacing. Hulk's pacing was slow - nothing wrong with that. X3's pacing was bad. It was all over the place. The scenes didn't connect or flow.

I enjoyed X3, but Hulk was better. I felt Hulk was a great movie.

Hulk:

To slow pacing

Bland and worse of all boring characters

Terrible acting by Nolte

Terrible script with tacked on supervillain angle that was in no way authentic

Hulk dogs

Talbot; annoying cartoon character villian in a movie that was so seriously non er acted, wayyyyyyyyyyy out of place

Awfully annoying split screen garbage.

Overall: Hulk is a ridiculously bad movie that wants to be taken seriously but has Hulk dogs, a mustache twirling villian in Talbot and a ridicolusly over the top and just plain awful Nick Nolte. But hey it's better than Dardevil!

X3:

Adverage for the movie it is acting

Great storyline that was poorly excuted

Dumb one liners

Terrible wirework and poor looking beast make-up

Overall: It was a fun movie that I will probably watch again but like F4 it's in no way good and I can't defend the movie from most of the harsh criticism and see why people wouldn't like it.

I liked them both. I know that's not the popular view to have, but the hell with it.

X3 is like universally hated on this forum...its like every vs thread it always losing....boy did that movie suck..lol

i know hulk 2 will be awesome though....... i know it!

I'm really undecided in this one. Hulk seems better at some points, but storywise, the plot just moves from one direction to another, and that really sickens me. I give it a tie.

Why is it with all the "some movie vs X3" threads?

Hulk over that s**t!!!

There's only 2 versus threads and one is an obvious choice as it's this years two big superhero movies against each other

Wesyeed made this one b/c he loves Hulk and wanted to experiment with how it would do against X3

Hulk by a longshot, and I actually enjoyed X3 for what it was, that is how much I like Hulk.
