Firaxis hit the deployment hangar for its DLC plans rather fast with its announcement of the Slingshot mission pack yesterday, but it’s yet to give a go-ahead for full modding support. Speaking to Joystiq, Firaxis Producer Garth DeAngelis stated modding wasn’t one of their “core pillars” during development.
Taken out of context, “Warspace Extension” sounds like the subject of a cheeky spam email to a military general. For XCOM: Enemy Unknown commanders, it’s the name of a mod overhauling weapons, enemies, armor, squad performance, and practically everything else housed beneath Firaxis’ turn-based Sectoid-slayer. Commence Operation: Righteous Replay.Just got it!
Wow, even better than I expected. Such a neat change of pace from other games on the market. Love the detail.
Yeah, one of the big reasons I love this game (aside from it being awesome) is that it's so different from anything else out there right now.
If you haven't played it and you have a PS3, I would highly recommend Valkyria Chronicles. It's very similar to XCOM in a lot of ways.

I'm kind Expecting the same out of the shooter( in the use your head department) now that it's gone third person and will have some elements of the Mass effect series game play wise. But that's another story all together. Any way glad to see your enjoy this game.I'm on Xbox, but I'm playing it right now and I would buy a squeal in a heart beat! When all my best soldiers were injured, I sent a bunch of rookies on tough mission and the sons of *****es made it all through without 100% kill rate and not a single injury between them! So satisfying.
I really love the tactical maneuvering, learning what works and what doesn't, utilizing each unit's strengths. Makes winning so much more fulfilling than just shooting everyone because you have to use your head!![]()

The only downside is his upload schedule is erratic but there are 5 episodes up right now.
