Lynch can make a great film and call it Dune but that don't mean it was a good Dune film. It was just a good Lynch film.

This summer...
Robert Downey Jr. is The Doctor
*Cue Hurricane 2000*Robert Downey Jr. is The Doctor (cut to him kung-fu-ing his opponents in slow motion while cracking wise with Jude Law) and Kristen Stewart is his Companion (cut to her in Twlight angst before leading an army of Time Lords into a medieval battle with the Daleks).....
Cue people who liked the trailer saying, "Well it's actually an accurate take on the material and also really cool. Who wants to see the same thing again? I think turning the Doctor into a smart-ass action hero, a real stretch for RDJ as he's doing a different English accent, and adding big meieval battle sequences is really original and fresh and different and unlike anything else in Hollywood...."
Just saying.

If it isn't Matt Smith, there is no point. He is "THE" Doctor and it significantly increases the chances of seeing the best legs in the world on the big screen.
Sometimes I feel it was a mistake for Downey to take the Sherlock role. Now if he isn't doing a Marvel movie, he's doing Sherlock Holmes instead of 'Gravity' or a smaller film like that.
