I've thought about it and I do believe that TNA One Night Only: Knockouts Knockdown is the first show of 2013 so far. Easily. If I had to actually grade it, I'd probably give about a 3.25/10 only because the opener was good.

I would love to see the Wyatts get involved in the Daniel Bryan storyline. He has the beard for it.

Also Kane hasn't been seen. Maybe he becomes a Wyatt & helps Daniel at some point. Plus the Wyatts are the only cats with the balls to no care about getting fired.

Does anyone think the frequent use of the phrase "Face of the WWE" is significant? Triple H constantly calls Orton the face of the WWE and Bryan says he can be the face of the WWE. Are WWE legitimately trying to establish Bryan as the face of the company, or is this so Cena can return and prove that he's still top dog?

Could be either or at this point, still early on in the story.

I think at WM 31, we'll see a changing of the guard with Cena passing the torch to the next top guy.

Goldust Vs. Orton was a damn fine match.

Golddust was great. Canadian crow was fire.

Great opening from Edge, Randy and Triple H

And now Christian is thrown into the mix. Brilliant booking throughout this storyline.

The entire ROSTER is being given a purpose.
That is what is great about this storyline. The story brings so many wrestlers into it and gives them a sense of purpose and a reason for the audience to boo or cheer them.

Even 3MB got a reason to get their ass kicked by the big show.
Heyman is so awesome, I love how he's looking more and more disheveled as his worry grows, that's method acting! :D
Heyman goes all out. If they had academy awards for wrestling acting he would sweep the board.
So is Booker a heel or just a stooge?
Booker is the bringer of unwanted advice :woot:
Booker and Teddy need to manage somebody if they aren't going to be doing anything else.
Teddy should manage the prime time players or tons of funk
aj just burned king :D
never get tired of seeing divas call out king for being a dirty old pervert

really not a fan of santino, i don't mind joke characters/gimmicks but he just does nothing for me

cesaro deserves better than this
Santino on my screen is toilet brake time for me.
Hate to say it, but Randy's really turned me around the last 3 months. Best he's looked. Ever.
Randy enjoys being heel more than face I think and it shows because he is a very good heel in my opinion.
Damn Steph, you cold hearted.
Triple H may be the cerebral assassin but Steph is the emotional assassin
I guess those old tube TV's still have a use in this world.
I laughed watching Big Show destroy a tv from 1992

I don't see what the point is in waiting until WrestleMania 31 to crown a new face of WWE, unless they're holding out for a big guy. Reigns, Langston, and Ryback are the only options there. And Ryback has been damaged quite a bit.

I don't understand why it's such a big deal. Cena has been the guy for a long time. WWE has let it get to the point where the audience cheered a Cena injury because they're tired of seeing him in his current role. It was really harsh but it shows you how bad it's gotten.

Dolph stating the obvious shouldn't get him punished. I guess management feels that Dolph was disrespectful to Cena though.

Not only that, but Dolph's feelings on the matter tie directly into the "main storyline." Getting Dolph out there to show he's in Bryan's corner instead of just being a random jobber/punching bag is a waste of a popular character. The Big E rivalry can still be played on that angle, since Langston has unequivocally sided with Corp 2.0. And AJ Lee's still apparently a heel, because whatever warm feelings she might've gotten for the "not fit to lace my Chuck Taylors" shoot a couple of weeks ago hasn't earned her a face turn from any of the TV crowds so far.

So Dolph/Kaitlyn on Team Bryan vs. Big E/AJ on Team H still has mileage. Why not use it?

And on the subject of Divas: how come there's been little to no overlap on their stories with the main line --- i.e., there's no sense of which Divas are Team Bryan or Corporate, if at all? The subject of Brie Bella, especially, should be explored and cross-promo'ed with Total Divas. Daniel's her man....how come she's not even remotely stepping up for him in the middle of all this? BOTH the Bellas, for that matter --- if Cena was healthy, he'd still be pro-Daniel, so Nikki would follow suit. Wouldn't the Bellas benefit from a face turn, since AJ's still the only Diva generating any noticeable heat?

I'm a huge Reigns fan but he's not ready, neither is Langston, and Ryback is a midcard act at best. Reigns I think will reach Batista levels once he goes solo. Looking through the NXT page, the ones (bigger guys) that to me at least have the best WWE look are Jake Carter, and Jason Jordan. Rusev as well. I've seen a bit of Rusev and enjoyed him, I need to see more of Carter and Jordan.

I seriously hope Ziggler's punishment isn't a the long term punishments that WWE love to dish out. I mean so what if he didn't kiss Cena's ass in the interview? he's still popular, puts on great matches and the company can use more top talents in Cena and Sheamus's absence. No need to be irrational, obtuse, counterproductive, stubborn, self-serving ass holes for the sake of it.

I'm not suprised, really, considering how egostistical and power hungry most of the top brass are, they aren't going to take too lightly to being told what to do. Even more so now that there aren't really any external factors that are forcing them to take risks and change tact accordingly.

I reckon Reigns is destined for the top, personally. He seems to have all the tools to be a top star in the preferred mould, and the fact that he already has an established bloodline in the business, probably helps his case too.

it's probably too late to be included, but I want Bryan's running knee finisher as DLC in WWE 2k14!!

I haven't seen enough in the ring skills or mic skills to justify Reigns as a potential top guy yet. Langston and even Ryback have got more to them than Reigns right now in my eyes.

I'm sure it does.

I really wish NXT was less than a three hour drive from me. I'd be at the shows all the time. Hell I'd try to work there setting up the ring or whatever I could do.

Anyway

To get to the absolute top, I think Rollins is going to have to take a similar route as Punk has.
