Agreed. I just hope people will give Del Rio the plaudits as much as they undoubtedly will give Ziggler.

I'll give him props....Just don't want to see a title belt on his waist ever again lol.

Regarding Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards, apparently there were no issues with their most recent WWE tryout. They are scheduled to be back for the next set of NXT tapings in January but were not offered a contract yet.

NXT writer Ryan Ward is pushing for Triple H to sign them and it appeared they got good reactions from NXT trainers Billy Gunn and DeMott also.

WWE is allowing Richards and Edwards to finish their commitments to Ring of Honor on December 14th but do not want them working anymore dates for that company.

This looks like a good sign. Not gonna hold my breath, though.

- WWE's 2014 Royal Rumble pay-per-view from Pittsburgh is almost sold out.

- WrestleMania XXX ticket sales were slightly under 40,000 over the first week. With the higher ticket prices, from a gate standpoint, it was the second biggest first weekend in history, only behind WrestleMania 29.

- Regarding the story from last week where it was reported that Kassius Ohno was let go after complaining privately to co-workers in NXT before those co-workers relayed what he was saying to WWE officials, a few people in developmental have noted that they don't believe Ohno was ever vocal about his position with the company. One person noted Ohno was never vocal and even privately, even if he may have had reasons, never knocked anyone and also noted it would be a very short list of people who actually fit into that category of not talking to people when they were frustrated. It was said if being frustrated and openly saying so gets you released, almost nobody would still be there.

Dusty Rhodes, NXT writer Ryan Ward and some of the trainers were strongly behind Ohno but he wasn't politically in a good place.

- There are already plans for Roman Reigns to get a huge push in next year's Royal Rumble match similar to Kane and Kevin Nash in the past where they rack up eliminations.
I think we all figured this would be the likely course of action.

- WWE officials have indeed been talking with Hulk Hogan about a return to the company and an idea to have Hogan team with John Cena, presumably at WrestleMania XXX, was at least discussed.
Triple H & ???? vs Cena & Hogan is the only way I could see this scenario going down but I can't see Triple H or Cena wanting it.
I'd say the last two versions of the belt, so probably over the last 6-8 months. The guy who cast it (Dave Millican, the current WWE beltmaker) made his own etched version of the belt that appeared on tv a couple of times, but the E preferred the previous 3D etched version made by the previous beltmaker (as they believe it shows up better on TV in HD). Since the previous beltmaker is one of the only beltmakers around to have a 3D engraving device/machine, the only thing Dave could do was cast the previous version, and with each subsequent cast, the quality has deteriorated. It's also cheaper and quicker to do than have a new belt etched and made from scratch. It's the only belt they have that is cast, all the other are either hand or machine etched, and it seems to be the belt that has the least amount of money spent on it.

Interesting stuff, so they changed the process roughly just after Mania? How long has it been since they used the quality one given to Triple H in 2002?

- Puerto Rican wrestler Sebastian Guerra, who is 21 and 6-foot-5 and 285 pounds, was at the same WWE tryout camp with Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, Joey Ryan and others several weeks ago. WWE wanted Guerra to get more experience and learn better English so he's planning on going to OVW for more training and hopes to improve his English by living there.

- Paul Heyman isn't expected back on WWE TV for several more weeks. As noted, it's expected he will be brought back when Brock Lesnar returns.

- Christian is still out of action because he hasn't been cleared from the concussion he suffered a few months back. He's expected back in early December.

I'd do Hogan Vs. Cena at Wrestlemania 30. The match itself wouldn't be good, but the crowd reaction would make up for it. Then at Extreme Rules, have them tag team against Swagger and Cesaro.

Jim Ross posted a new blog on his official website talking a variety of things, including his thoughts on Raw from Monday. One of the interesting tidbits was Ross's opinion of The Shield, their inevitable break-up, and their potential as singles stars going forward.

Here's what J.R. had to say about The Shield:
No one should sleep on the potential of Dean Ambrose or Seth Rollins considering that Reigns is getting ample, fresh spotlight these days. Both Rollins and Ambrose are going to be top hands. I'd bet BBQ sauce on it.

Ambrose has always reminded me as having some Brian Pillman and some Roddy Piper in his personality. So, if Ambrose doesn't get institutionalized (Only kidding) with those perceived personality traits, he's going to be outstanding. A little of The Loose Cannon and some of Hot Rod equates to money to me. Rollins, from day one in NXT, has always reminded me of CM Punk and I'm not sure exactly why but I perceive that it's a good thing nonetheless. Rollins match several weeks back from Daniel Bryan was one that I could watch every night.

It's obviously enviable that the Shield will implode at some point to allow the three stars to evolve separately instead of keeping all three talented men in one entity. How, where, when it happens remains to be seen but the why is a no brainer especially when WWE needs to build quality depth. This isn't the era of the Horsemen when talent depth wasn't an issue.

In the indies and NXT he reminded me of Brian Pillman too but currently in WWE Ambrose reminds me so much of Scott Hall in WCW..Which I think is an awesome thing and fits him!

Not the character but the way he talks/walks and mannerisms just makes me think of Hall in WCW mid 90's when the he debuted and early nWo days

I love JR's blogs since his "retirement". He cuts loose and tells the truth with no bias.

His comments on the kidnapping were funny and true. His story about Ernie Ladd visiting the WWE taping is sad and a little revelational. It could explain why some guys don't how to work: they don't listen to the experienced hands when advice is being given.

I'm a bit annoyed by WWE changing Leo Kruger's name. Adam Rose doesn't sound as good.

I... actually like this idea.

Imagine if two years from now, Rollins, Ambrose, and Reigns are all successful. The Shield will then be known as one of the greatest stables in wrestling history.

That'd be interesting actually. I can't even lie. I'm not saying that by late February, I'll be ****ing my pants for it but in November, it sounds interesting.

And it's very possible. I mean, even though they're really high on Reigns, all the backstage powers thinks highly on all three of these guys.

I'd be into Hogan vs. Cena. It would probably mean Bryan and Punk would most likely be in the WWE title race if Cena's doing somethings else. Then again, I can also see Randy Orton in that spot too.

If Cena's rumor is true, I can realistically see it being Hogan vs. Cena, Bryan vs. HHH, and Punk vs. Orton for the WWE title with Punk going over Orton to win it.

I'd use that opportunity for an extended dump on the toilet.

But then what are you going to do during the Divas match when one or more of the cast of Total Divas are involved (and may possibly win the Divas title at Wrestlemania XXX)? :hehe:

I'm just not going to endorse Hogan vs Cena. If you guys like the idea that's cool, but Hogan in a top singles match sounds terrible to me.

I honestly don't like the idea either. I like Cena, but he's not that good when he has to carry the match.

I only like the idea because it takes him out the title race.

I think the only way a singles Hogan match could work is if it's a squash. I'm afraid to watch Hogan take moves now.

I think the main event of Wrestlemania should be for the WWE title, and I still think it should be Cena/Punk/Bryan.

I would really not enjoy Punk/Bryan for the WWE title, they'd put a great match together but it definitely wouldn't go on last, they'd have Cena's match last, so once again the WWE title match is not the main event.

That's what I thought too. Now I really hope Hogan vs. Cena won't happen because Punk deserves to be in the main event. Bryan I can take it or leave it if he's in the main event because he just got into the title scene.

I want Punk (or Bryan if included, but preferably Punk) closing out Wrestlemania holding the WWE title.

even if he's not fighting for the title, there's a chance that he could still be the main event of the show, which would suck big time.

I mean look at how rock and cena were the main event (the first time that they fought each other) for wrestlemania 2 years ago.

Honestly, the possibility that they may hurt or destroy Wrestlemania 30 by shoehorning the likes of Cena, triple h, or hulk hogan into the main event where none of them deserve or belong really sucks.

The Shield is making up for how poorly Nexus was used.
