The Dark Knight You Know You're Obsessed With TDK When...

And your wife is a big Batman like you..? How cool is that :woot:
we agree that he's the superhero. but i promised her dinner for two weeks to be there that weekend with me.

...I finally figured out which shot was different from the IMAX version and the widescreen theatrical version. :o

And it was the shot that someone mentioned too, although I spotted the actual differences aside from the cropping. :funny:

I think I'm officially obsessed, yeah. :o

You know you're obsessed with TDK when you can pinpoint with 0% margin of error the exact window that gets broken in the opening shot.

Right at the beginning of the chase where you can see the oncoming traffic versus not (on the DVD)?

Alfred burning Rachel's letter. The letter burns differently between both versions and his hand positions are different. It isn't just the cropping - it's a completely different shot.

when you continuously keep posting in the "you know your obsessed.." thread

Hahahaha. I don't know man, but for some reason I found this to be like the funniest thing ever. I'm just imagining someone doing that, it's fricking awesome.

:applaud

I'm just obsessed with TDK. I got a tattoo of the TDK bat symbol on my leg and I think having that forever on me is pretty good intention that I'm obsessed. At least I think so.

No day is complete for me unless I have managed to work at least three TDK quotes into normal conversation. It has become a daily mission! The other day a friend was having a serious talk about a problem in work and how a colleague had an "ace in the hole" and couldn't understand why I was laughing so hard. :woot:

I thought I was the only one who did that. :yay:

Watched it
IMAX on July 15th - K&S
Standard on July 16th - 2x in a row (employee screening)
IMAX on July 17th - midnight show
Standard on July 18th - morning show

I work at a movie theater so I watched it 3 consecutive times a day while I worked in the projection booth 5 days a week. 15 times a week for the 12 weeks we had it.

IMAX on October 3rd
Drive-in some 2 weeks after that

I'll admit I dl'ed the leaked DVD version that came out and watched that 4 times all the way through.

IMAX again on December 9th - Screen Actor's Guild screening
dl'ed the blu-ray and watched that 3 times.

and I will watch it approximately 3-4 more times in IMAX and my theater when its re-released on Jan 23.

I think I'm over 300? holy ****! That scares me.

I also end all my booth log entries with a Dark Knight quote and Heath Ledger's Joker pwns! :)

I AM OFFICIALLY PWN3D!!:brucebat: congrats! i graciously hand you my life as i beg god to let me work in a theater but get completely ignored every time!!:hehe:

Obsessed is putting it mildly!!!

This is the effect I'm having on my household...

My 11 year old is dreaming about The Joker and Batman in the interrogation room scene.

My 3 year old runs around shouting "Why so serioussss?"

I put my 4 Joker posters up on my son's bedroom walls "pretending" they're for him (but really they're for me...)

I collect everything to do with Ledger Joker...can't help it.

My husband works for a chain store here in the UK, and he has "reserved" the 5 ft tall TDK Joker/Batman promo stand just for me when they're finished with it.

We bought a Blu Ray player (sale price!!) on Sunday JUST for TDK in Blu Ray.

Sent my husband out to his work at midnight Sunday night/Monday morning to buy the Blu Ray. It wasn't even out on the shelves yet, so we were officially (probably) the first people to buy the Blu Ray TDK in my home town!

And I also write TDK Joker fan fiction. Ha ha! How embarrassing to admit.

Get hired for the holidays and just make sure you stay til February and make sure they get the Dark Knight and you'll end up living in the theatre, no joke. haha.

ok how about this? You know youre obsessed with TDK when you can match Joker's lines down to both voice AND intonation (meaning how he says something. Here's an example (say the first word really fast): I'ngonna MAKE this pencil..DISappear)

I made this one up..

You know you're obsessed with TDK when it says "Slaughter is the best medicine" on your truck.

Omg yeah I do that all the time! I watch the movie just to get his lines right. I feel better now that I know it's not just me.:woot:

You know your obsessed when you buy the Joker only Calender when you already have the official Dark Knight calender and a Dark Knight stocking for Christmas.

- When you have a TDK calender hanging on your wall, a screencap of TDK Joker as your desktop background, the novelization, the art of TDK, the DVD, and two folders on your laptop, one filled with every picture released from the production, promotional images, etc., the other filled with officially released screencaps and ones you've taken yourself or gotten from here (hundreds in each folder), and you can recite the dialogue in almost every single scene word for word.

When you remember that it was exactly one year ago the first Dark Knight trailer was released along with I am Legend!!!

I just remembered back when TDK was gonna hit theatres I had this dream involving all of my friends and I, ready to buy the IMAX tickets for the movie. We get to the cashier and all of my friends buy them first, since I'm last in line(weird). When my turn comes up, the guy says "It'll be $75 bucks". I don't give a damn and I just pay the money knowing everyone got their tix for $14.50. While walking through the parking lot we all make this dance while singing " The wait is over, the wait is over!".
Naturally, we did this everytime we wen't to see the film.
