No I haven't. The comparison was made purely because of budgetary restraints. There wasn't even a fight with Doomsday. They just can't do that on TV.

So far the best interpretation of Superman has been his animated series from the 90's. It may be a while before we get anything close to that.

All I really want is for them to somehow wrap up this series, without, as Kal-El 8 said, any loose threads dangling. Flight is fine, the suit is fine, a fight with Darkseid is fine.

What I don't want, and if it happens, I will be furious. But I guess it's inevitable:

- A "Newhart" or "Dallas" style ending, where it was merely a dream or illusion.

Oddly enough, Superman II and III both had impressive fight scenes - Supes vs. the Krypto-baddies and Supes vs. himself.

I would like to amend my statement from earlier. I do have one hope for this. Not a lot of Chloe. I'm pretty well done with that character. I don't mind having her in a bit because she was a big part of the series, but I feel that if she's there too much she'll take away from what it should really be about. And that's Clark taking the final step. Too much Chloe has always been a bad thing, so I'm hoping there's just a couple scenes with her.

well the simple things, clark in suit for more then a few seconds, a good flying squence, and a decent fight with darkseid(like clark/zod and clark/titan fights). If i get these things i would be happy.

Here's one thing I DONT WANT...

Any of those iconic moments to be done in slo-mo. I know this show loves it's slow motion but if they do another flight, shirt rip, phone booth/glasses thing in slo motion im going to be pissed.

It was cool for a while ago but the show IMO has played it out one time too many.

NO, this isnt your food shopping list for your Finale party. Thought it would be a cool idea to have everyone post a lists of the big ticket items they're hoping to see in the Finale tonight. Perhaps a list of "Necessities", then a list of "Nice to Have's", and then maybe even a list of "DO NOT WANT'S". Then you can come back afterwards and see how you did:

Necessities
1. Full on, no doubt about it, flight.

2. Clark donning the full Superman suit (after 10 years we deserve more than shirt rip) wanted the real deal full suit, not CG Supes and Tom just wearing the top for the shirt rip

3. Clark "coming out" to the public and being called "Superman"

4. At least a few bars of one of John Williams' score for the Superman films.

5. Clear and concise explanation of the Lex/Clark relationship going forward. (Does he know? Doesnt he? If so, why?) *had it done well but then screwed it by mindwiping Lex.

6. Physical appearance of the actual Darkseid. partial credit for CG Darkseid before he took over AU Lionel Claus.

7. Large combat sequence between Clark/Superman and actual Darkseid.


Nice to Have's
1. Resolution to the wedding

2. Michael McKean as Perry White cameo that introduces him as the Editor of the DP. *giving this one to them since they at least got his voice

3. Chloe and Oliver not staying married.

4. Appearance of Phil Morris as J'onn J'onzz *reference was cute but Phil deserved a cameo in Season 10.

5. Lex/AU Lionel scene

6. A suit that is neither CG nor from Superman Returns


DO NOT WANT'S
1. Chloe blowing up Apokolips via a computer hacking technique or some other "Deus Ex Chloe" plotline.

2. Jonathan to be the AU Jonathan and having him be with real Martha. That's just weird and cheapens the impact of Reckoning.

3. Powerless Clark, for even a portion of the episode. I'm looking at YOU, gold kryptonite!

4. Mindwipes, selective amnesia, frontal lobotomies, memory-erasing kisses, etc.

Overall got majority of Necessary items and avoided most of the DO NOT WANTS. Didnt get all too much on the "Nice to Have's"

Granted they were all hit in the final 10 minutes...

My biggest peeve was that we never got a good shot of Clark in the Superman suit. And no, i'm not talking about the cgi version from a distance when he's flying.

Whenever he was in the suit they resorted to closeups of his face OR wide shots of him in the suit from a far distance.

There was only 1 Clex scene.
There wasn't any other suit.
Chloe didn't get beaten up by Oliver, as assumed by Milos.
One Apokolips shot that was seen in the canadian trailers didn't make the final cut.

The perspective on that is really messed up. In some shots it's not much smaller than Earth itself, but in that shot it's not even as big as the city.

Plus it was way bigger than Saturn too. Totally inconsistent.
