I dunno it seems pretty tame here compared to what I've seen on before, I mean people arguing over " Batmans teeth are too white" and the godawful "Brandon Routh is a twig" arguments that went on for months!

Lol. Yeah, not to mention the mother of all needless controversial arguements (which it seems EVERY adaption has to have at some point) -the godawful 'Man-Spider' crap with Bakerboy and Mr Parker for the 1st film from way back when.

The only movie I have seen Craig in was The Jacket and damn he looked old. But I am actually really happy with his casting, I don't like the younger pretty faces or even the older pretty faces like Brosnan, Craig seems to be in the perfect middle ground for who I would like to see as Bond.

Oddly enough, those were good times.

I have an idea for what will make all those who complain about Craig being selected for the role: Bring in the elderly Sean Connery to reprise the role, since that seems he is the only actor to please half of everyone. Yeah, and he can pretend he is in his early 30's and everything will just be fine like the "gool 'ole days." Now seriously, Connery and the other guys all had their day. Now it's time to give Craig a chance at his day.

To everyone who claims they will boycott this movie because of its actor: go ahead. If your plan really works and this movie completely fails at the box office due to low ticket sales, then the series would probably be finished off. Then no more James Bond movies. If that's what people really want, then go ahead. I'm sure some of you will say "well they'll just find a new actor and make a new movie and everything will be fine." In today's world studios don't want to produce movies if they think the market doesn't want it anymore, especially if they are not going to make a decent amount of money.

I'm sure the new guy will be fine, but I'll make my final opinion once the movie is ACTUALLY RELEASED.

I'd say a 4. He might be a 5, but we'll have to wait for the movie to find out.

1 or 2, he's more like a british vin diesel at the moment, I think he might go up to three, but I'm not expecting it.

i am still in the "wait and see " mode.roll on the 16th nov

he's at a 5 for me! Craig is everything that Bond usually isn't- which is why i think he was chosen for the role. hell, that's even how fleming made bond in casino royale. it's the only book where you almost dislike bond because he's so unpleasent. he's always cursing, smoking, drinking or grabbin vesper's **** thru the whole book. i think he will be perfect.

there were tons of scenes describing Bond doing naughty things to her. i remember one part it says "bond walked behind her and gently cupped vesper's breasts, feeling her delecate bumps around the nipple..." and crap like that. don't get me wrong, the casino royale book was amazing. it's probably the best book i've ever read.

In a Bond context, Daniel Craig looks plain ugly/deeply unattractive most of the time. I've seen about one or two decent shots of him, the other 99% range from unattractive, to plain ugly. The new promo shots are terrible. Craig looks old, and the one of him firing the gun at the camera looks like someone's dad doing a silly Bond impression. He's hopelessly miscast and based on his delivery in the trailers - it would appear to be totally leaden and dour.

It will be a miracle if Craig and CR are successful. A miracle. This guy is too far removed from Bond to be accepted. People want a more handsome charming guy as Bond and who can blame them!

Bond's entire film brand was based on a handsome charming man. Craig ain't that. Sorry but I'm just telling it how it is. Craig may be a decent guy, it's nothing personal.

Then you haven't read too many books :whatever:

He didn't say it was his favorite, he said it was 'the best book he's ever read.' Now I like Casino Royale as much as the next guy, but it's not a work of literary genius.

Does the best book he's ever read have to be something considered Literary genius? Of course not, surely the best book he's ever read is one that he connected with the most, it's a form of entertainment so surely the thing that entertains you the most is the best in your opinion?

He may be a good actor, however, I don't think he'll be a great Bond.

In fact, he'll fail just as bad or even worse than Timothy Dalton.

Craig will only last with this film -- I doubt he'll get another crack at it if the movie bombs.

Timothy Dalton did good, he gave Flemmings Bond to the screen........... i like to see Bronsan do The Living Daylights or Licence To Kill the way Dalton nailed it that Moore lacked................Daniel Craig will do awesome since we are going back to Flemming's version of Bond which Pierce (which i admit i liked as Bond) lacked the Flemming traits of Bond that Craig will nail it and probably be the best Bond since Dalton or Connery.......

Blonde Bond...hells yes...it's about time we blonde guys got our fair shake, as we always end up being villans (see DaVInci Code, or Gary Busey in Lethal Weapon, or any Gary Busey character for that matter...)
