No Way Home "You've Stuck Your Webs In My Business For The Last Time!" Alfred Molina Returns As Doctor Octopus

he looks more sinister now, if you know what I mean

I wish they gave him a bowl haircut this time round.

Something that's been sticking out to me is that in the trailer, his head looks abnormally large but it could just be the angle.

I agree. The bowl cut is not like say Joker's green hair. Its not one of his defining visual traits. Same with Osborn not needing to have that washboard red hair.
yep. I'm glad he kept his stunna shades, though. I'd say that is a good visual trait he has

so the Spider-Man 2 DVD had loads of special features, more than you'd see today! And I remember when I was watching the special features the day it came out, there was a bit in the Doc Ock portion of the documentary at 20:37 where they talk about the possibility of Ock not being dead. Hard to believe all these years later, I'd look back on that and go "it really happened".

Y'all are al late to the Alfred Molina Standom. The guy made the incredible feat of making Diego Rivera likable.

Just off the top of your head, who do you think will get more screen time, Goblin or Ock? Or will it be roughly equal?

I'm thinking Dafoe might have slightly more screen time than Molina given what can be gathered from potential leaks but it'll probably be pretty close cause they're both top dogs of Spidey villainy in cinema.

Electro seems to be the third "main" villain given how early he was announced and
one of the leaked stills included him alongside Goblin and Ock
. I think the other three members of the S6 will mostly be the muscle.

There's a leaked still of
Ock, Goblin, and Electro together?

No, not of them together, the three separate stills that leaked at the same time the trailer did. Given that all three of them seem to be in a similar, dark room, I think it's safe to speculate that Electro will be almost as prominent as the other two

Ock and Electro's relationship in the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon comes to mind, I could see him having something like that with Norman and Otto here. Honestly given a less goofy and more menacing take here I could see Jamie Foxx really working as Electro.

Foxx looks
so much more badass in that still than he did at any point in TASM2, and he's not even charged up!

I loved that mentor type relationship Electro had with Doc Ock in the SSM cartoon. It was a kind of hero worship. Electro looked up to him. Thought he was the greatest genius ever. Ock's ego liked that.

I'm leaning more towards Ock.

I saw announcements for Ock while Dafoe was a secret, and the teaser showed tentacles followed by Ock and we heard him talk. All we saw of Goblin is a pumpkin bomb and heard his laugh.

That could be a marketing trick. Remember how the promos for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 made it look like Ayesha was the main villain and barely showed any scenes with Ego, the actual main villain? I feel like they might do the same thing with NWH; have Ock featured more prominently in trailers and ads than Goblin, then the film comes out and reveals Goblin as the true big bad of the film.

It's possible.

I didn't see any Guardians marketing stuff, so they didn't trick me with that. :oldrazz:

At the end of the day, while Ock is the most iconic of the returning movie villains, Goblin is still Spidey's archenemy, so it would make more sense for him to be the true main antagonist.

I think they'll be even Steven with the spotlight. Maybe Ock having more screen time as Ock comes from the most popular Spidey movie, and is also the fan favorite villain of all the Spidey movies, too.
