Justice League Zack Snyder Directing Justice League (The Snyder Cut Edition) - Part 2

It's confirmed as a prequel.

I’m starting to believe that Snyder sees Superman as the strong silent type. Someone who doesnt talk much but when he enters a room, his presence is felt and youre drawn to him and paying attention to him. So in that sense I almost believe that Cavill’s lack of dialogue is deliberate.

"starting to think" ? Come on man it's as obvious as daylight, he even said once that he doesn't want Superman and Batman to have alot of dialogue because superheroes talking while in costumes is silly, or something to that affect. This is one of the main reasons why the general audience and the critics rejected Snyder's Superman and his universe as a whole, his Superman is plot device not a character while his Batman seesaws between psychopath and a man of faith, neither of which are in keeping with how Batman has been portrayed for decades.
Superman and Batman are the foundation on which you're meant to build your universe and you can't build a universe on a rotten foundation.

i somehow agree and disagree with you at the same time. lol

i guess i like how snyder's played around with these iconic superheroes, but i can also understand how it might deviate from their core characteristics.

did you like the animated world's finest episodes?

I don't see the point of adding a scene of the news reacting to Superman being back.
In both MOS and BVS the media played an important role, Zod and Luthor both weaponised it in order to try to drive a wedge between Superman and humanity.
The press asked questions that played on Clarks mind; should he reveal himself, how should he conduct himself, does he help the world more than he hinders it?
There aren't any questions like this to be asked in ZSJL, there isn't a storyline of Lois seeking the truth, so there isn't any real need for a focus on the media.
What is there to be gained from a montage of news anchors saying they are happy Superman is back?
We know from the end of BVS that humanity had come back around to loving him. After his sacrifice, there is no more doubt in the worlds mind that Superman was a hero.
Having the media cheerleading for Superman or the JL seems unnecessary to me, an empty victory lap.

I love that we can be Snyder fans on here and acknoweldge the man’s work is not perfect and has flaws and disappointments. Look I LOVE this movie and I loved what we did get of Cavill in this movie....but it wasnt enough man. Snyder and Terrio really needed to give Henry more dialogue. Far be it from me to defend, well, anything in the Whedon cut but Joss clearly was trying to give Cavill more presence and dynamics with the team as much as he could. Has Superman and Diana said anything to each other in either BvS or JL?
From what I heard WB actually don't want a lot of Superman. If that's the case that's going to be a huge issue regardless of Zack going forward.

At this point, why don't WB give out (license) solo Superman movie making (and distribution) rights to Other Studios for some years ? (Say eight years)

As WB is not interested in making solo Superman movies anytime soon, (I'm not talking about Val Zod Superman or Calvin Ellis Superman) They can retain the rights to have Superman appear in ensemble movies, like in Justice League.

It would be like how Spider-Man solo movie making rights are with Sony but still Spider-Man can appear in Avengers movies by Disney, only difference will be that the versions will be different so actors playing Superman will not be the same.

Another thing I love about Snyder's JL is that it's about the team and not a love note to Wonder Woman. That's how I felt the 2hr trailer felt like.

And who inspired Bruce?

Although Superman's sacrifice led to Batman finding a renewed hope in humanity, I still don't think that it had anything to do with Justice League being formed.

I mean it's like saying that Captain Marvel is the reason why the Avengers exist in the MCU, because she inspired a young Nick Fury to look for more superpowered heroes.

That’s insane

Though not as crazy as Netflix forking over $400 million to Rian Johnson for Knives Out sequels. They’re not even giant blockbusters like Lord of the Rings, Avengers, Transformers, etc.

WB just want HBO Max to make tiny safe profit like Shazam and BOP, Joker was a total shock cuz they tried to kick Todd off the project :funny:

They think HBO Max Peggybacking the movies is the future :funny:

I feel like I’m the only one who loves the Doomsday fight in BvS. I felt like Zack was really firing on all cylinders there. It was just too short. But thats just me.

I thought that was a great teaser for JL (the moment Sup had a heat vision stare-off especially) and the Chinese audiences will love it, and 5 years later they gave ZSJL an amazing score, even from just watching pirated version :funny:

F***, imagine he had released his baby in 2017 before IW and EG, and spin off the Atom by 2019, like seriously his vision included a black superhero in the main role in 2017 and Asian superhero solo film between 2017-2020, all before Black Panther and Shanchi. Not to mention he put in a gay right Easter egg in 2009 before other mainstream studios/TV try to do it to show they are cool

I won’t even complain if Disney hires him to push the next stage of MCU, he’s years ahead of others

Yeah, most people will remember "Kal El, No...." :funny:

But, before that, WW says..

“Kal-El, the last son of Krypton, remember who you are! ”..

What if KalEl identifies himself as a pet, in his scrambled mind, he’d be really offended
