007 Legends

Awwwww sheeeeeeet!

OHMSS is by far one of the best Bond movies ever! The raiding of piz gloria is one of the most iconic segments in Bond history not to mention the inspiration for the snow scenes in Inception. My interest in this game has just picked up.

So...does each section cover the whole film its based on or is it only an action scene from said film?

I gather just one sequence from each film. I think the OHMSS screenshots look promising. They have captured the vibe of Piz Gloria's interior and exterior quite well.

I've never been a big fan of 007, but after finally getting a chance to play through Reloaded, it made me want to go back to look at the original game and I ended up watching the movie since I had never seen it in its entirety. Seeing as how Reloaded had Craig, I decided to watch Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace in the past few days and now I'm going to try to make an effort to watch as many Bond films as I can.

With that said, I think the idea of combining several Bond moments in one game is pretty cool, but I too am a bit disappointed to see that it's not only a FPS, but also looks a lot like Reloaded. I won't complain because I kinda enjoyed it, so more may be better, but I prefer third person games over first person any day. I'm even thinking of going to rent Blood Stone to see what that is like because the only other Bond game I can remember enjoying is Everything or Nothing.

And just to add to the debate, since Brosnan was the Bond that was around when I grew up, he's my vision of Bond.

Delighted to hear that Goldfinger is the official movie being used for Sean Connery's Bond era mission in this. Trailer looks awesome:

hopefully there's DLC in which you can play as former Bond's like Connery, Dalton, Moore, etc.

Same here. He was classy.
It's funny because looking back at when I made that comment, I still like Brosnan because I grew up with him, but Craig has definitely grown on me and has really gotten me excited about Skyfall, which is probably the first Bond film I've ever looked forward to.

As cool as that would be, I doubt it would happen because of likeness and licensing issues. I'd imagine that they would have to pay those actors to use their likenesses, and I don't see them doing that.

Are the missions shown in the trailer the only missions in the game or is there more?

I still think Everything or Nothing remains my favorite Bond game. This seems neat but I've never overly been crazy about first person Bond.

I think so. From the sounds of it, they have about six missions that are based on six films, so I imagine that it would be just like Goldeneye Reloaded.

I agree. I played the original Goldeneye and thought it was good, but I was never crazy about it, even though I acknowledge the importance it had, specifically with mulitplayer, on FPS of today. But Everything or Nothing, from what I remember, was the first Bond game that I remember really enjoying. I recently played Blood Stone and while it had its flaws, I think it could have easily been made into a better game with some tweaks. The main problem was that it felt like a movie tie-in game, even though it wasn't.

Totally agreed on all accounts. Seeing Craig in a retro setting made me remember how I loved the way they casually just included Jaws in EoN. Blood Stone had some really cool ideas and took some steps in the right direction but it just didn't come together fully realized as a product. I played it, enjoyed it to a certain degree and forgot about it pretty quickly.

Yeah, I mentioned earlier on this page how I played Goldeneye Reloaded and how it pushed me into playing Blood Stone and getting into the 007 franchise in general, and after playing Blood Stone, it really made me see how much potential there is with the character, and to be honest, I enjoyed it a bit more than Reloaded.

But my biggest problem with Blood Stone was that it just felt limited, in terms of control and gameplay. Looking back at EoN, from what I remember, they had gadgets and stuff, which really helped to create that feeling of being James Bond. I don't know if its because the Craig films have lacked that to some extent, but I didn't feel like 007 as much as I did some regular secret agent. With that said, 007 Legends sounds like an awesome idea, but a FPS turns me off a bit on it. I still might play it at some point, but for now, its more of a rental than a must-buy for me.

I am excited for this game, just not as excited as I was before I found out Daniel Craig would be the only Bond. I was looking forward to finally playing as my favorite, Timothy Dalton.

I loved the game. I felt it was like the final Brosnan movie..but made as a game.
The initial theme is also one of my favorites:

I'd say it's a fun game. It plays off nostalgia. It may not be exact, but unless you've watched the movies rather recently - I think you'll just remember the highlights of what sticks out in your head. The areas where it's weak - only two missions per film......... granted, the missions are somewhat long, but still - seems like a spark notes version. And Felix is white.... kinda throws anyone trying to see this as part of the new Bond series off guard lol. Other than that, it's a fun game. Matched expectations. HOWEVER, as said - two missions per each film.... 8/10

Anyone else having trouble redeeming their gamestop codes? I can't get the server to load.

The MOONRAKER final level is AWESOME!!!!!!!! Favorite level EVER in a video game, lmaol, fighting throughout a whole space station zero gravity! It's gonna be hard finding something that compares to the ridiculous awesomeness of that.

The fans on Facebook's 007 Legends page are hating this game!

I ALWAYS get a Bond game at christmas. It's sort of a tradition...not now, eh?

I see a lot of people referencing the IGN review...
Fact. If you believe in their reviews, you're an idiot.

Actually, I'm afraid if you believe that this game is going to be worth a damn or that the people of IGN are so ignorant that they couldn't possibly score a game correctly then you, my friend, are the idiot.
