10.13 - Beacon - Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

I have this feeling when LEX LUTHOR does return, He won't remember his past life in "Smallville" or his relationship with Clark Kent. He'll just be the World's greatest untouchable Criminal Mastermind billionaire like in the comics who hates SUPERMAN and just wants to rule the world as President .

Just watched the episode. It was really good. I loved all the Lionel scenes. It's so good to have John Glover back. The Martha scenes were great too. This episode really moved things forward. Probably my second favorite episode of the season.

Thank god!!! That was a really great episode. I think were back on track and lets hope they keep it that way. I was kinda hoping clark would tell martha that his suit was stolen and she'd say no bother ill make you a new one, sure that one was crap anyway haha :P

That was kinda one of the problems I saw with the Lex clone, in that he was obsessed with killing Clark, and how in Lazarus he went after Lois as he tried to get to Clark. He was almost as if he had no other purpose than to get revenge, meaning that maybe him knowing Clark's secret wasn't such a great idea.

The Clone Lex all had some major issues with Clark. They knew they were clones and had memories of the real Lex. Now I think when Rosenbaum comes back for the finale, he'll be the REAL Lex. The Real Lex is much smarter. When he plans his revenge, it will be finesse. He won't go crazy with only Clark on his mind. Plus, he's had like 2 or 3 years to think about his last encounter at the FOS. I think he's learned his lesson about going straight to Clark for revenge.

lex has either been in hiding or will be resurrected by darkseid. im sure all of his memories will be in tact. i want the evil lex but not over the top killer like the clone was last night.

Well I thought the whole vra was a nice plotline to play with the heroes so to get them out of the shadows into the public eye so they can be favored and like and work freely in the light. So that is good thing from vra. I too glad it is over now. So luthors and darkseid can wrap up the season. As for clone lex really wonder what they are doing with him. Are they going to turn him into a conner kent type of deal or not. With michael lex just be aged up clone with abilities. Or will they pull the card fans been wanting since season 8 and the lex in truck wasn't real one. But maybe one of his first clones and he is somewhere else. Can't wait to see where it goes.

Also as I said in ratings thread. Beacon ratings came in ah hr ago. 2.3mill 0.9 demo. Sucks for low numbers. But like others said alot of shows where down this week. I do hope numbers will go up. Can't wait to see where season goes now.

Also rip to the great luthor mansion. So many great scenes there. Will be missed. Like I said last night did not see that one coming.

One of the best episodes of the season by far! Now, will Alexander become Superboy Conner Kent or will he die? With MR returning, they could easily explain the one that died in "Requiem" was a clone while the real Lex was recovering somewhere else.

So I guess now the real Lex will make his home in Metropolis. Probably the same with Clark once we get closer to the finale (or maybe he will move in the finale?)

Yeah, I'm sure Clark will move out of the farm in the Finale. But he'll still use the barn as a storehouse for all his Krypto-stuff.

As for Lex, if they say the one that died was a clone, that would be a major ret-con, though I think it would be worth it for the show and story's sake.

Why wouldn't he just move his Krypto stuff to the fortress? Also I'd like for Martha to retire and come back to the farm OR for Clark to hand it off to their neighbour.

The one thing I didn't care for, actually had nothing to do with the episode itself, but in fact had to do with it following Collateral. If anything, Beacon should have been the winter finale, as the revelation that the Lex clone is invulnerable is far more interesting than all the heroes rendered unconcious, by...something.

agreed. The mid season cliff hanger didn't even have me caring. It was just anti-climatic. Finally something happened that I haven't predicted.

We already heard in Homecoming that the barn is where he keeps some of his stuff. So I'm assuming that he keeps certain things there either so he won't have to travel all the way to the arctic, or so that Lois could easily get it if he needs help.

Great Episode! This episode really made me hopeful for an awesome series finale! Clark mentioned the suit! Now go get it Clark!

this shoud have been the return episode... it really sets the tone for the final arc where he actually moves forward to being superman.

they should have ended the VRA stuff last semester, with them all going into hiding and giving up the pursuit of being heroes. With Beacon as the return episode I think things would have better flow.

I did always wantthem all to move to metropolis but with sv now so close lol to the city. There is no need really for them to leave kent house.

hey, just wondering, has Clark done anything super while in his red leather jacket yet? Or has he just worn it to stand around and look cool in so far? I just don't seem to remember him actually doing anything in his get up yet

He has saved lois in it, he stoped that truck in ambush. And some others I am blanking on.

I must hand it to the people from the fan vids. I don't think I could keep a straight face and sound so sincere if I were talking into a webcam about how the Blur inspires me. Just something about that name that makes me want to laugh.

No, that's pretty much it. He went to stop Slade in Patriot, but ultimately did nothing but talk to him. In Icarus, he carried Carter's casket, but other than that, he hasn't really done anything action-wise in the look.

The jacket is a fan service, nothing more.

Clark used the Black suit way more than he uses this jacket .

The red shield jacket needs to be used a lot more because I saw little to no use in action. He used it in action back in Ambush. It looks like he may use it in action in Masquerade. :super:
