Superman Returns 100 Things I Learned From Superman Returns

I learned that Superman Returns revealed that there is more to just being just a man of steel and bashing in criminal mastermind skulls ~ but being a man and taking a stand to face and confront his past, his ego,the woman he left, child he left behind and accepting responsibility for them rather then just running to hide like a cowerd.

I loved the movie SR!

I enjoyed reading the SR novel more tho, so much was left out in the film- I was disappointed, but still loved it.

I thought X3 sucked and was a waste of budget.

Singer, Supermans red is too dark - Hes not the DarkKnight/Batman!

17. That Bryan Singer can't design a superhero suit for s**t!

18. That Bryan Singer and crew can rip off entire storylines and pages of Dialog and Richard Donner and Mankelweitcz (sp) wont care, or bother to sue their butt's for grand theft and plagiarism.

17. Of course not, Bryan Singer isn't a designer.

18. And he also talked to Richard Donner before starting to work on the movie and Donner gave him his blessing.

Not to rip of pages of dialog. Donner is one of them guys that knows his experience with shooting and so wont bad mouth Singer at all, even if he was upset.

Bryan Singer did design the suit. He had the idea and had a painting commissioned, steered the costume designer on what he wanted, and had the final say. He even said he had the design in his head, and what ended up on screen was in that painting he had commissioned before they even started making the suit. So yes, he is a designer and he is the final say and that was his design. and we already heard the pitch to him. That supes leaves, and comes back to earth. That he and lois had a kid and that it would be sequel.

Ahh no. God I hate that owned and pwned crap. It is so stupid. I was talking with my cousins the other day, who are under 18, and they all said it is so old, overused, and stupid. Especially after being mis-used when there is no "ownage" at all. They refuse to do it anymore. Can't wait till it goes the way of all the other outdatd stupid internet lingo.

20. That Bryan Singer is the go-to director in comic book movies post-B&R.

:up::super:

21. bryan singer is a wrong director for superman. he has stupid ideas and no vision for a superman movie.

That fans don't seem to understand the nuances of subtlty.
*You can't abandon a child you don't know exist.
*That Superman left their family intact in spite of how he felt... the noble thing to do.
* Lifting New Krypton into orbit almost killed him.
*Lex Luthor's plan was about controlling Kryptonian technology, not a land scheme.
*Just because he's Superman doesn't mean he doesn't have wants , needs or has to be an emotionless drone, despite what certain fans think.
Well said; I agree completely. I actually liked SR a lot, and can barely wait for the DVD.

I've learnt that when I cannot fall a sleep. All I need to do is watch Superman Returns and in no time I will fall a sleep

23. Comicbook fans are just as insecure as ever.

:p

24. That the majority of the viewing public is so corrupt these days that the "old fashioned nice guy" isn't cool anymore.

even old fashioned nice guy gets lonley and horny

25. Babies from Krypton can remember word for word, the monologue their Parents tell to them when they're first born, even though they can't remember their parents until they find a green crystal when they turn 18.

I learned that Bryan Singer doesn't know how to director action er okay I learned that from the X-films.

Really, thats weird considering the opening White House assault in X2 is better than any action scene in any of the Spider-Man movies, and that SR has more heroic, inspiring moments in that one film than any of the Spider-Man movies.

I learned that crazed Superman fans (I'm not talking about all or even most) like to watch the exact same movie that came out over 20 years ago if it has purty special effects.

And I find that crazed Spiderman trolls will come to this board solely for the intent of starting trouble. Also, without Superman the Movie, you'd have no precious Spiderman movies to crazily cling to, not to mention STM is a MUCH better movie that the Spider-Man movies, and Raimi seems to acknowledge that with all of the Superman-esque moments in his overrated Spider-Man movies.

* Superman used his powers to look in on Lois Lane, just like he did all the time. He uses his powers to check up on people all the time.
*Coporate Raider Lex Luthor doesn't exist anymore in the comics and hasn't for 6 years. He doesn't exist in animation either, thanks to Justice League.
*comic book costumes are designed the way they are because it's faster to draw. If someone wanted to draw The SR costume with all the details on it, they would.
*It's a belt buckle. get over it.
*The only reason they put the S on the cape originally is that in a feild of caped costumes you need to be able to tell it was Superman from behind. He's the only hero in SR, he doesn't need a cape sheild.

And he dosn't wear womans underware, a Gucci belt, a fruit rollup coming out of the back of his suit, and garden boots.

I figured the sequel would be lame, like Singer's brain.

The only vision he has is a vision of himself.

#26 - No matter how many people liked the film, there are still going to be people who disliked it.

#27 - One of the most significant things I got from this film is to never give up, no matter what the obstacles. I'll recap for those who didn't watch it closely:

Superman had just been stabbed with a piece of Kryptonite and left for dead. Lois and Richard rescued him. Lois removed the K from Supes; he regained consciousness and took off.

But now for the point most everyone forgets: He then flies up into the sun, absorbing enough solar energy to the point where he felt his powers were fully restored. Blasts out of the stratosphere, heat vision igniting the ocean floor. Lifts NK out of the ocean, but as he does, Kryptonite crystals appear. And using every ounce of his incredible strength, he keeps lifting until the landmass is in orbit - then, he blacks out.

I dare anyone out there to tell me that's not what a true hero is: persevering in the face of overwhelming adversity.

I learned that internet fanboys are a pack of hypocrites, and annoying to boot.
