28. First ever 400+ million grossing flop!

That reminds me, fans need to lie in order to justify their dislike for a movie.Billy Batson said:28. First ever 400+ million grossing flop!![]()
.No. They're liars. These people that come online every day just to bash a movie they didn't like are so pathetic that they have to lie or blow things out of proportion just to get their point across.AVEITWITHJAMON said:^Its not exactly lying, i'd say thats a bit harsh and i'm an SR lover. Its just seeing things a different way, even if thier way of seeing things is wrong.

Which part of Bryan got Donner's blessing and is a friend of Tom Mankewitz don't you get?buggs0268 said:17.
18. That Bryan Singer and crew can rip off entire storylines and pages of Dialog and Richard Donner and Mankelweitcz (sp) wont care, or bother to sue their butt's for grand theft and plagiarism.
I also learned that it's easy and fun to piss you off and that you don't know how to use the ignore feature.SolidSnakeMGS said:Really, thats weird considering the opening White House assault in X2 is better than any action scene in any of the Spider-Man movies, and that SR has more heroic, inspiring moments in that one film than any of the Spider-Man movies.
And I find that crazed Spiderman trolls will come to this board solely for the intent of starting trouble. Also, without Superman the Movie, you'd have no precious Spiderman movies to crazily cling to, not to mention STM is a MUCH better movie that the Spider-Man movies, and Raimi seems to acknowledge that with all of the Superman-esque moments in his overrated Spider-Man movies.

#27 - One of the most significant things I got from this film is to never give up, no matter what the obstacles. I'll recap for those who didn't watch it closely:
Superman had just been stabbed with a piece of Kryptonite and left for dead. Lois and Richard rescued him. Lois removed the K from Supes; he regained consciousness and took off.
But now for the point most everyone forgets: He then flies up into the sun, absorbing enough solar energy to the point where he felt his powers were fully restored. Blasts out of the stratosphere, heat vision igniting the ocean floor. Lifts NK out of the ocean, but as he does, Kryptonite crystals appear. And using every ounce of his incredible strength, he keeps lifting until the landmass is in orbit - then, he blacks out.
I dare anyone out there to tell me that's not what a true hero is: persevering in the face of overwhelming adversity.

*You can't abandon a child you don't know exist.
*That Superman left their family intact in spite of how he felt... the noble thing to do.
And darn well it should have.* Lifting New Krypton into orbit almost killed him.
*Lex Luthor's plan was about controlling Kryptonian technology, not a land scheme.
*Just because he's Superman doesn't mean he doesn't have wants , needs or has to be an emotionless drone, despite what certain fans think.

If you think Superman was out of character in SR, you're a liar. Simple as that.

bosef982 said:Well said. Agreed. He was so selfless...
He saves Richard and Lois' family. He trusts Richard with Lois's well-being and lets the leave. He then nearly dies saving Earth. Then he gives his one and only son to the woman he loves and the man he trusts to take care of them both....
except neither he nor Lois knew the child was his until he came back. So once again.... You can't abandon a child if you don't know you have one.mego joe said:Yes, but the old fashioned nice guy knows how to have an outlet for these things withour hurting the people he loves or bringing innocent children into the world whose life he's screwed up.
uhh She went in for the kiss first. and when she tried to explain he backed up and left.mego joe said:I disagree. He abandoned the responsibility of his actions by not telling Lois he was leaving. Plus, he wasn't around for the first 4 years of Jason's life. If he wasn't there by default he has abandonned the child and mother. Responsiblity is doing the right thing before the consequences of your actions are apparent. Ask Jason what he thinks. Ask any child who grows up to find out their biological father is someone else. If you are willing to engage in acts that result in conception, you must be cognisant of the responsibilities those acts might require.
Wasn't that really Lois's decision to make? He just didn't press the issue afte she told him , 'no.'
And darn well it should have.
I disagree. WHy copy the dialogue about the importance of land from SUperman The MOvie, if the scheme is not about real estate.
