Ok..but that would be MSU and Meatchagin, you know the in state thing, come on i can't believe i am telling a MSU fan this.

There's some good ole fashion Columbus logic for ya.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Since it'll be a couple weeks until the bowl bids are announced, I was going to start a sign-in post response for my 2007 NCAA Football Bowl Pool. Winner makes the 2008 NCAA Football Thread.

If you want in on the pool, say this in your post:

Fran, let me into the pool!

The pool will consist of:
-Predictions for each game (winner, score)
-Points doubled for BCS games

I remember saying I was in for this a few months back. I'm still in

I've never heard of OSU fans cheering for Michigan State, and neither U-M fans cheering for OSU.

Quit turning this into a "Everyone hates OSU" thread. We're tired of them because you think everyone hates OSU (some do, others don't).

Just because OSU was #1 doesn't mean we have to cheer for them every game, and we DON'T have to like them.

My only regret? They won't get their asses handed to them by an SEC team during the NC game.

Haha, nice. I quess if you had to lose you'd rather lose to ISU.

I was very impressed with the OSU game. First Jayhawk game I watched this year. Should be a epic game, here's to the winner whipping OU's ass and getting a national title shot.

Maybe it'll finally get the Big 12 North a little respect?

Two teams in the BCS Top 5 should do that.

Hopefully with all the press Mangino's getting, KU Med will donate a Lap-Band Surgery. :o

Sorry couldn't resist. :csad: :oldrazz:

Not true i know a lot of OSU fans who cheered for MSU when they played Meatchagin. Ok hate is to stronge, but i stand by the fact a lot of fans hate the success that OSU has been going through, USC is a good example.

Rumor has it the aide that always follows him during games is a trained medic, in case he collapses.

Also ahhh yeah if your a 6-5 team in the big ten you better hope you go 7-5 because you might not make a bowl with a 6-5 record. The big ten has only so many slots for the bowls and there are 10 teams with over 500.

All joking aside, the guy is a great coach and needs to get his **** together. He started out at K-State w/ Snyder during their glory days and then went to OU when Stoops got the HC job. Now that he's got KU on the up, I'm afraid he ain't going to be around to enjoy it.

I miss the old Jayhawks... :csad:

...I know.

BTW Fran i want in the pool, and i promise not to bring my floaties.

Didn't you know only Ohio State fans can figure out the complexities of the Big10 standings and how that affects their affiliated Bowl Games, never mind the ones that just take teams that travel well.

You can keep the attitude, anyways i do agree with you about the greed of the bowl system, they will pick teams that sell tickets and travel no argument here.

...thats very apparent...

Strong rumors circulating that Carr is planning to retire after the Ohio State game. ESPN is talking about it now.

Miles is rumored most, but I actually hope that Carr sticks for one more season. See how Harbaugh does at Stanford, then pull him in....

i bet it happens...Wont be too sad to see Carr go

Mister J, how do you feel about these two U-M coaching candidates:
1. Les Miles
2. Brian Kelly

Give me a 500 word essay comparing and contrasting both coaches, due tomorrow morning.

I've wanted Carr gone since the App. St. game. What he did after taht didn't matter, even if he ran the table. I can't recall another example where a team, who was previously considered as a possible National Title contender, had that consideration dashed after 60 minutes of football. Pathetic.

Miles is a gambler. I like that. He seems like a player's coach and I think he'd do well to shape Michigan into a less conservative team that opens up the playbook on offense and preaches speed on defense. That might help Big Blue when they come up against more athletic teams. Though it's hasn't really arisen in Big 10 play all that much, it's been evident to me in some non-conference games that it's given them trouble over the years.

I don't know that much about Kelly, but he seems solid; Pretty good record where he's been. Cincinnati has made some strides and I've actually given them more credit for being a decent team than some of the other Big East squads that the trotted out.
His resume reminds me a bit of Tressel. Part of me likes that, but a larger part of me holds disdain for it because I'm hoping Michigan whips that Scarlet and Gray ass come Saturday.

You should know I purchase my essays online.

I don't know... Miles might be a gambler, but those moves might come back and bite him in the ass, like say in the national title game.

And I hear Kelly is an ego-maniac. Big time. State almost got him, but the school liked Dantonio better.
