Michigan Alert

Have a pretty legit word from MSU forums, via Tiger Droppings.com that Les Miles told the team he is leaving for UM after this season, today at practice.

It's been holding up, seems to be extremely legit.

It's also all but confirmed that Pelini is heading to the Huskers. Not 100% sure yet...but all signs point to yes.

Hoo-ah!!

According to my friend in the media in Lincoln, Pelini will neither conform nor deny, and really, legally he can't until right after the close of the season which is technically thee end of the SEC championship.

All I can say is: "It's good to have you back Bo"

ESPN confirms that Les Miles WILL be named head coach as early as Monday for the University of Michigan.

AWFUL timing, IMO. This has been said right before the SEC title game. I think Tennessee wins this game. I hope LSU's players give up on Les, as a final "F-U" to the man.

AND, this makes Michigan look bad. They were supposed to honor the LSU AD's wishes and wait until after the game to talk to him. So much for that integrity.

What's really scary is, he's bringing GA Tech's Jon Tenuta to Ann Arbor as his defensive coordinator.

Michigan means business.

It might make Michigan look bad, but I dont think they give a crap considering they are getting a damn good coach to revitalize their program....

Not so much worried about Les. He won with an LSU team that Nick Saban built for the most part. Had around a .500 record at Oklahoma State.

The defensive coordinator move is what shocks me. I figured he'd keep Ron English.

I hope Little Brother gets some recruits to compete with their Big Brother in Ann Arbor.

Goddamnit, I'm gonna just stop posting news on this. :csad:

Now I'm reading reports that Les Miles is staying at LSU, just signed an extension.

To be honest, I'm calling bullcrap on it. So many people are confirming the Michigan job, it would be ridiculous to back out of his dream job. Although LSU is a much easier job to take ahold of.

Link to report on MLive.com saying Les is staying at LSU

Les is holding a news conference shortly that will announce he's staying at LSU.

Brian Kelly, here we come :o

I think Les understood, considering what happened with Nick Saban, that the school didnt need to go through a similar situation again and that he can build his own legacy at LSU and not be living in the shadow of Bo Schembechler or Lloyd Carr

For a Spartan fan, you seem to be follwing this whole U-M thing a bit too close. I know, rivals and all that. But if Clemson fired Tommy Bowden, I doubt I'd care who they hired...well unless it was someone like Les Miles. Nevermind, I see your point.

Well, dude, I live like 1 hour from both schools. It's kinda hard to ignore the news, and I find it quite amusing. :yay:

BlackLantern - Exactly. Plus, LSU would pay him a ton more money than U-M.

I did the same after Jonn L Smith. UM and MSU are rivals, sure, but I follow my rivals quite closely.

U-M should hire within. If they go with Brian Kelly, he could make that program crap. His attitude doesn't fit with U-M's integrity. He could implode Michigan.

Same with John L. - We hired an outsider, and he made this program look AWFUL. Whereas hiring an MSU guy, Mark Dantonio, makes the program have some credibility behind it.

Looks like either DeBord or English is gonna get the job now.

Michigan needs to hire someone who can instill confidence in the program. Someone who understands what it is to be at Michigan and understands Michigan/Ohio State

Apparently, I'm a bad rival. But go ahead and do you thing. Just hope all this U-M talks doesn't make you want to convert to the dark side..:ninja:

Oh God no. I'm enjoying seeing them scramble to find a new coach.

I like Ron English. Much rather have him than Loss Miles.

If you keep English, you'll keep most of your recruits.
