Same for me....McFadden....

TEBOW, HEISMAN!

That rung true when it was pounding out at the Florida-Florida State game, and it holds true now.

TEBOW, HEISMAN!

Out of those non-Kevin Smith Heisman finalists, the only one I'll support is Tebow. Unprecedented numbers in the best conference in the nation. Dude's a beast, and probably the best Spread Option quarterback I've ever seen.

Chase Daniels FTW!!!

No, really!?!?! :(

I got nothing.

I'll really be surprised if Tebow doesn't get it. 3100+ yards passing (29 TDs) and 850+ rushing (22 TDs)...in the SEC. Damn.

McFadden's year was extremely comparable to last season and he flew under the radar until that South Carolina game (though the numbers were nice). Tebow seemed more noteworthy. Plus, there's no way I would expected him to tabulate the stats he has, especially in the air. If Tebow doesn't get it, I hope it's because they thought McFadden was better; not because one's a sophomore and the other, a junior.

Daniel and Brennan are along for the plane ride and room service IMO.

:cmad:

Yeah, you are right. It's still a great accomplishment.

Kevin Smith probably should've gotten a nod too. Didn't they used to invite 5 finalists?

Chase is going to kill the room service though. 2 to 1 odds, there's cheesecake and porn on his bill.
Is he expected back next year?

I thought 5 was the standard until they only invited Bush, Young and Leinart a few years ago. Must be the budget.

I'd really like to believe that, but I'm expecting something ugly.

Sorry BM. There was just no way of getting around it. :csad:

I agree. Now, I am sad. :( I can be seen here leaving the Hype for the evening:

I don't mind if Tebow wins it, but come on people. Smith might break the damn single season rushing record. And it's not like the mofo is playing in Div. II.

Conference USA ain't the SEC, but anybody who runs for over 2,400 yards and 30 touchdowns against credible college football teams is clearly decent enough to get an invite to New York. I mean....AT LEAST a seat next to Sir Tebow. :o

Yeah he'll be back, he won't grade-out to a great NFL QB (too short), so no early out for him. He should have a great chance at it next year. Actually almost all of Mizzou's key players will be back, except Rucker.

As far as the RS; I know if I was there, both of those would be on mine. :o

I have this odd feeling that Michigan will wait untill after the holidays to announce/or look for their new coach

The coaches they are looking at are probably concerned with their jobs right now. So it'd be best to wait till after the season.

Its that qualifier that makes me knock him - well that an my enormous bias.

McFadden is universally great, one of the most incredibly players to ever play the game. He doesn't rely on a system for his numbers - like Tebow does.

Also: I refuse to call Tebow the best player in the country when he is not the best player in his state.

McFadden: FTW.

Put Kevin Smith in as QB/RB and see what he does. Then we'll go back to the table for discussions.

Not a fair comparison - Kevin Smith doesn't throw. Put Tebow in at running back behind Kevin Smith's offensive line. Or better yet - put Tebow in a Pro-Style offense. Tebow is a product of a system (Alex Smith anyone?)

Colt Brennan deserved it last year (over Troy Smith at least) this year - I am not sure.

Colt Brennan didn't even put up the best numbers in a Air Raid style scheme. That'd be Graham Harrell (45 TDs, 14 INTs, 5,000+ yards).

To be fair - Colt only played like the first half of every game and still had outrageous numbers. :wow:

Tim Tebow: Home school kid who is allowed to play football for the local high school he doesn't even go to? He sucks.

Colt "I got booted from Colorado for lude conduct" Brennan. He sucks too. He didn't even play against real competition.
