I don't believe they'll ever nominate a superhero film for any kind of major role.

I mentioned a Grammy because of her singing ability. She sang her ass off in the movie. She didn't act her ass off.

I felt she carried the entire movie on her shoulders, so either she was great or the movie just wasn't that good.

Of course not. They will do a little montage for him, but they won't give him an Oscar for the Joker.

The montage will be this year of course. He'll get the most applause to. I bet he'll be the one at the end.

And just for the record, am I crazy or is Stewart doing horrible tonight? I'm a huge fan of the guy...but.....eh.....its pretty clear that the writers threw this together at the last minute following the strike. They should've let Conan have a go, he is better at improv and could've done a little if he found the script wasn't working (and its not).

Yeah, I mean not to jump the gun. Going off of the preview though, that's the best damn 2 minutes of acting I've seen in a Superhero movie. No one has ever floored me like that before.

Well he has a few other films coming out that year...at least one other. And I'm not sure whether or not his Bob Dylan one made the cut-off. But I could totally see the Academy pulling a move like that.

BTW, his Joker will be good regardless of how good the film is, we already know that much it seems. Oscar good, I doubt it, but it will be good.

So somehow based on his smaller roles in other films, it will boost his chances of him getting the Oscar for his Joker role? Ehhhhh, keep dreaming I guess.

You're not. He's trying to be too much like his show. His jokes need to be Oscar/acting based, not a bunch of political and Bush humor.

I'll go with column B, because she wasn't. I mean its not hard to overshadow Beyonce. That movie got way over hyped because Jamie Foxx was in it and it was Eddie Murphy's first respectable role in years.

Totally agree, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a big Batman fan. You can't even tell thats him in the trailer, amazing.

I laughed at some of the stuff. I agree with you that they should give Conan a shot, but furthermore, I miss Billy Crystal.

I kinda feel the movie should have only been nominated for best song, best coustume, and best adaptation, and makeup. I'm happy J.Hud won, but I was surprised both her and Murphy were nominated.

What was she wearing? Her boobs looked like a boomerang.

Ruby Dee deserves this. She was so friggin amazing its not even funny. It takes something special for a role so small to over shadow Denzel Washington, but she did it.
