2008 Academy Awards

Ok dude, I get it as does everyone else, you don't like TF, whatever, but are you actually telling me you think Bourne is better than all the other movies in the main categories ?

I was agreeing with the mathematics part and with most of the movies are better than TF? I personally cannot comment enough on sound mixing and editing as I do not know enough about it to say if it deserved it or not. When it comes to editing I would have voted for Into the Wild, TWBB or Atonement before hand. But him rubbing TF loss in fanboys faces?

Sure. You say I am being obnoxious, but there was literally FIVE OR MORE PAGES DEVOTED TO TRANSFORMERS LOSING A TECHNICAL OSCAR while best set design, animated feature (including fan favorites ST and Ratatouille winning both) and supporting actress came and went. There still is at least a post a page of someone coming in late to ***** about TF not winning VFX.

So, that post makes me laugh as it throws salt on the wounds, because people are now saying the Academy has a vendetta against Bay. Which is funny, b/c while I never liked Bay HE IS IN THE ACADEMY. They freaking showed him talking about voting. It is just sour grapes from a portion that act like VFX is the best picture award.

So I found that post amusing.

The hate is merely bitter and immature fanboys who can't stand hand-held camera work.

People call me childish have forgotten the, "Paul Greengrass must really like to shake hands a lot since he likes to shake the camera all the time!" that has been posted on these forums.

I dont think i've ever seen a post of yours where your not bashing fanboys.

Patrick Dempsy versatile? Has he ever played a role outside the typical dream guy archtype?

What part of "Move On" don't you understand? The "move" or the "on"? Jeez.

They should've called it "The Bored Ultimatum". Oh, wait. Are we done talking about that yet? :whatever:

They couldn't just tape these bull**** awards earlier and just list them at the end of the show or something? The people who go see the Oscars have to suffer through them, that means we have to as well?

I dunno, the ending was incredibly corny in my opinion. It just screamed bad 80s action movie. I also am not crazy about shakey cam action. I go to an action movie to see the action, not pretend I am in it. But its still a pretty solid movie.

yes, maybe the end wasn't the best. It should've ended with Julia Stiles smiling and then a blackout.

The doubt of Bourne being dead or alive would've been great.

I think they are more receptable to him tonight than the last time around.

Still, at least last time his jokes were funny. This time just seems like curteousy applause and laughter.

I also thought the song Falling Slowly was pretty good

The post you quoted was about Bourne being better than everything here, not just TF.

I enjoy watching the Academy Awards a lot. Many excellent films were released in the year 2007! Congratulations to all of the winners this year!

Did anyone see this Vavive La Rosea Wackadooy Doo film?

Yes.

OK, next year for hosting duty....I'm saying Colbert. Just for the hell of it. Acutally, maybe Tina Fey.

How about backing up your bull**** argument of people NOT CARING about any of The Bourne movies and people forgetting about them? Back it up with some FACTS, not what you feel.

Agreed. In my eyes that would've fit the mystery and mystique surrounding the character of Jason Bourne so much better.
