What movies have you been watching? Have you watched anything he has done post Romeo and Juliet? The Departed, Gangs of New York, Blood Diamond, Catch Me If You Can, The Aviator...he is FAR more than an "average actor."

Leo is damn talented. Far more so than anyone wants to give him credit for. If he never did Titanic you guys would be holding him on the same pedestal as DDL right now.

Poor Leo . He gets nominated , so he isn't ignored . Leo is one of the best actors of this generation .

Does it matter though? I hate these "make-up awards." They should be judged on what is submitted. Even though Abigail Breslin was young, she should've won last year. She didn't because of her age. These things shouldn't factor in. Depp in my opinion gave the best performance in his movie that was nominated this year. Therefore I think he should've taken it home.

Seems as if every year Depp pulls out a great performance, someone else just goes him that little bit better, Depp's time will come, he's an actor first and movie star second.

But but he bust outs singing in that movie......i cant help but giggle, the intensity gone....that's a musical for you.

Have you seen the movie? That is what is amazing about what Depp did. The intensity SHOULD have been gone, but it wasn't. Very few actors could've pulled that off.
