Pedro really impressed me...That guy can play this game for another 3 years with his new method of pitching. Hes a genius with fooling the hitters

You need to do what the rest of us do. We got over it. I know I've moved on from it. It was 5 years ago. It happened, it sucked, it's done. Now we're in the world series again. No more obsessing over a horrible past. A lot of teams have had way worse pasts than the Yankees, basically every team, and yet their fans still stick with them. We've got 26 titles man, there's no reason to act like this.

You know what its like? You find yourself so spoiled after a while that if you go through one small drought, you feel you have suffered more than Cub fans and you become so inured to the idea of losing that it feels better than winning. And when they finally do win again, it's like "Eh whatever. They are supposed to win... I'd have been better if they had lost a couple more decades longer to make the win even more meaningful."

That's how a felt like for the U.S Men's basketball team a while back. It's like you become so used to the Jordans, the Malones, the Robinsons, the Stocktons, the Ewings... then when they started bringing in all these thugs like Iverson, Marbury, Anthony's, and Odom's, I started rooting against them more than I was rooting for them. And even when they cleaned house and brought in more classier players in Beijing I still rooted against them because I wanted it to be a continual learning/growing lesson for team USA. Not that I was ever passionate about international basketball, but then again, I don't think these so called Yankees fans were THAT MUCH into the team even in the late 90's.

Interesting...Manual just announced:
Game 4 will be pitched by Blanton
Game 5 will be pitched by Lee

Does this mean Pedro or Happ for game 6?
He also mentioned he would throw Lee out of the bullpen if there is a game 7, so who starts that???

Blanton vs CC...Yankees have to win that game 4

Yea, Girardi needs to pitch CC in game 4 and they HAVE to win that game. NO ONE is beating Lee this postseason, so just sacrifice Gaudin in game 5 and take your lumps. Then come back home with AJ and Pettitte/CC.

What happens if Pettite beat Hamels and the Yanks bomb Blanton in game 4? Do they really want to go down 3-1? Phillies don't win game 3 they have no chance of going back to NY up 3-2.

Not sure what analyst said it before the series but...this series hinges on Hamels. He needs to be good for us to win. Sounds like there was never a thought about pitching Lee on 3 days rest....and if there was it went out the window when he threw 120 pitches. Gammons speculated before Game 1 that CC or Lee wouldn't have pitched Game 4 if they threw over 120.

crazy sports weekend in Philly this weekend....Giants @ Eagles sunday afternoon and Game 4 sunday night...

wonder how long for the riots to break out

Shouldn't be long, considering they also have the threat of a transit strike.

It's dumb that there's no game tonight and that tomorrow is a night game. They said they were going to have a Saturday WS day game.

They talked about this earlier....The Sixers play at home tonight and tomorrow night. The Flyers play tomorrow afternoon and The Phillies play tomorrow night and Sunday after The Eagles vs Giants. Traffic is gonna be crazy down there. I'll be getting there early for The Eagles game.

Pearl Jam is closing out The Spectrum tonight and tomorrow too.

For me it was losing in 2004 that changed everything about being a Yankee fan, but I'm too much into the who superstition/curse/hoodoo crap for my own good.

So ****ing what? They choked. It was 5 years ago. Get over it.

Gary Matthews Jr. has demanded a trade. Any teams out there want a disgruntled and massively overpaid fourth outfielder?

...anyone?
