Oh yeah baby, finals game 7. Now if we can get into overtime or something, then everyone wins!

They play a best of 7 series in the NHL post season....first to 4 wins

It is a best of seven series. Whoever wins four games first wins the series. You would have to research how it started.

Since the home team gets the last change, which seems to have helped both teams in this series, they try to make the final series fair with the first four games split between cities. Also having a hometown crowd behind you can help. Then the final three games if necessary alternate. The team with the better record gets 2 games played of the final 3.

Thanks for the tips.

The Score’s Steve Ludzik has learned that the Anaheim Ducks have traded defenseman Chris Pronger to the Los Angeles Kings for D Jack Johnson and the 5th overall pick in the upcoming draft.

Interesting trade for both teams. We saw how much better Edmonton and Anaheim were with Pronger on board, and with the Kings young core, Pronger is sure to bring needed stability and presence to the blue line. However, it’s a hefty price for the Kings to pay, giving up the fifth pick, and a former third overall pick in Johnson. The Ducks now have a core of Perry, Getzlaf, Ryan, Whitney and Johnson—all of whom are 26 or younger. Scary! Plus, there will still be some great prospects left on the board at number five, which will only add to their outstanding group of young talent.

TSN and Sportsnet aren't even touching this. This is The Score's first big scoop so maybe something's up. Also, speculation that Burke will make another trade now that the Ducks have the 5th pick.

Pronger's in the last year of his five year contract though. And he's approaching the late 30s. How much longer can he last?

I'm surprised that the Kings didn't offer that package for someone like Lecavalier....

Is this the last match in the entire play-offs?

I can't find a match list online.

It's the final game of the year. The championship. After today, no more hockey til October.

Is this a deal to than swap Pronger and a guy like Frolov for Dany Heatley?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Just when I was getting into things:csad:

You've got a century of hockey to catch up on over the summer. If you look online I'm sure you could watch classic games/moments from NHL, World Juniors, Canada Cups, World Cups and the Olympics.

Could be. But the LA Times and Globe & Mail say both teams deny the trade. Apparently the NHL doesn't announce trades during the playoffs.

As much as the team wearing black & gold is the wrong one, it doesn't get any better than a game 7 for the Stanley Cup. MLB and the NBA don't have anything on a game like this. Nadda. Nothing. Zip.

I hope this comes down to the wire and OT would be  !

If I were the Ducks I would do that in a heart beat. But I think Ottawa would want someone like Bobby Ryan in return.

Hahaha, very true.
Its on now.

I'm watching..

Missed about 5mins, I'm good now:woot:

Nice to see that both teams are getting away with some questionable hits. Let em play Ref's! Let em play!

ih8nyy, who you rooting for?

The Boston Bruins. So I am not rooting for anyone. I just love the game, so I want to see both teams lay it all out on the line and watch some good hockey. I grew up playing it through college and still play in a beer league, so to me there is nothing better than good playoff hockey. It's all about the passion and energy and from the looks of it both sides have it tonight. Although Detriot has had some better chances, they are both playing physical and pushing the play. You can't sit back in a game like this.

Pink suit lol

Let me guess, Don Cherry?

I need to go with another Grapes Avvy at some point.

Sounds like there are some Pens fans in the stands.

Nice goal.

Matching?

Both of em were awful calls. But things have a way of balancing out. Just like in life.
