Thornton is probably a better all around player, although I think as a pure goal scorer Kessel is superior.

The WC hub bub may be more to do with Thornton, who will be 37 when the WC starts, making a STACKED Canadian roster where as Kessel didnt make the somewhat weaker USA roster over guys like Abdelkader and van Riemsdyk who arent even close to his level.

Totally weird thing happened, last night and this morning, I kept having a recurring dream where the Leafs lose their #1 draft pick to San Jose because the Sharks exercise some previously unknown clause in an old trade to move up. It's weird because I don't give a flying **** about the Leafs, but I kept waking up and going back to sleep and seeing this fictional sportscast repeatedly.
