I've never seen a hockey game in my life. I want to start watching. Where do I begin?

If you watched last night's second period, you'll see one of the most lopsided periods of any playoff game. It's not supposed to be that way.

As a Penguins fan, it was devastating to watch.

You'll enjoy the next game. It's the Penguins' redemption -- well, it better be!

Great game and great save on the one-on-one, at the 1:40 mark of the final period. I thought the wings was going to tie it. Best game of the series imo.

First hockey match I ever watched. Good stuff. I was rooting for the Wings. I thought the wings would draw just before the dog pile.

Game 7s are something to see since they don't happen that often. Especially for the Finals though lately we've been seeing more.

The hometeam is 12-2 in Game 7 Stanley Cup Finals.

boy those refs lastnite....worst called game I've ever seen. The comish got his wish .."cindy" crosby in a game 7

Thank God the Pens didn't lose on home ice.

Come to think of it, the Wings have more pressure to win the Cup on home ice than the Pens to lose as the visiting team.

Let the Ray Emery era begin for the Flyers. Should be very interesting.

You don't want to see the refs in the AHL. They still have a single ref and are total bush league.

I want to see "the right calls'" getting made thats all. lastnite was a debacle with all the crap the pens were getting away with

Is anyone else upset that game 7 is on a Friday Night? They should have had it on Saturday Night.

I haven't been too excited about the officiated throughout the series. It's starts off with a "let them play" mentality, which is pretty inconsistent from the way the rest of the season went, then it's been jumping back and forth between the two. Is consistency too much to ask for?

I had no issue with the refs the other night. They let them play.

My guess would be they'll put the whistles away again this evening. Unless it is something completely blatant. So what if things get a little chippy. That's playoff hockey not the World Figure Skating Championships.

I don't see any issue with it....I remember Game 7 when the Rangers won the Cup was a Thursday or Friday night

correction...it was a Tuesday night

I watched my first game the other night, I don't get the whole 7 game thing? Why are both teams playing that many times?

It is a best of seven series. Whoever wins four games first wins the series. You would have to research how it started.

Since the home team gets the last change, which seems to have helped both teams in this series, they try to make the final series fair with the first four games split between cities. Also having a hometown crowd behind you can help. Then the final three games if necessary alternate. The team with the better record gets 2 games played of the final 3.
