Which is likely what with the aging of the top teams and all that up and coming talent they're packing.

Sucks for the fan, but that's bid'ness.

I want to see how the owner's vote breaks down for this (if it's even released). Buss and Sterling are already on record as being opposed. Traditionally, people don't vote against these moves, but I'm still sure a good bit of spite will be in the mix to further split the SoCal market.

Will they keep the Kings name? We all know how the NBA tends to keep team names after relocation..Lakers, Jazz, Hornets. There would probably be the Oklahoma City Super Sonics if the "leave the history in previous city", clause didn't exist.

The commonly most bandied about name is Royals, which is what they were from 1945-1972.

Just on impression, I'd imagine they'd take the history with them.

Eh, I live in southern california and There's no chance id go see the Anaheim Royals or whatever. I wish atleast Sacramento would take the clippers in exchange.

I think it's fitting that the Lakers are the team that close them(Kings) down. That's their biggest rivary. You can't beat 'em, join 'em.... in the L.A. area. :)

Get rid of the Purple though.... you're not the Lakers. ;)

As deflating as that loss was (particularly, the way it came) I think Tyreke Evans was just making his last minute push to sew up the Low Basketball IQ Award for this season. His late efforts may have clinched it.
