So, my thoughts on the season at the moment:

One - Will this week have silenced all the people ranting about how the Chiefs and Bucaneers are legit? They are results of easy schedules and I think that this week underlines that.

Two - I'm sure people will start talking about how the Raiders are legit, but they aren't either. They beat either inconsistent teams or bad ones. We will see how legit they are next week when they play the Steelers (I'm guessing they won't be very legit).

Three - In my opinion the most suprising team in the league who is actually legit are the Browns. Why? Because they are not simply having a good season based on a cake walk schedule. In fact, they aren't even having a good season. But what they are doing is showing CONSISTENT (and that's the key word) improvement of a young team, where it needs to be shown. Holmgren is actually laying the foundation for future success. I don't see that with the Raiders or Bucs. MAYBE the Chiefs. The Browns are the legit underdogs this season, IMO.

Four - So, after this embarrassing defeat will Jerry eat his words and fire Wade Phillips fired or will he stick to his promise to give him the full season?

Glad that NBC and the FOX main crew got ****** games this week.

Fox does not have the Cowboys to ride now...Next week is Steelers vs. Patsies.

Good game.

I promise you he keeps him for the rest of the season. Who is going to handle the offensive coordinator position?

You fire father and son...It would be a slap to keep one and fire the other. lol

Giants vs. Cowboys....afternoon game next week on Fox....I will be watching, with bells on

Fox will cut the game for a more competitive game when the Giants take a 56-0 lead by the start of the 4th.

I agree Matt

2011, Browns, Ravens and Steelers will duke it out for the division. Browns can steal the wildcard away from the Patriots or Ravens

The Bills really should have at least 3 wins. They keep losing by oh so little

Fitzpatrick seems to be doing pretty good though

I'm surprised that you didn't mention the Rams. They're becoming a competitive team also and could've easily have been 6-2 or 7-1 right now. They're a young team that's a receiving corps away from being a playoff contender.

Too bad I think they're going to probably win only 2, 3 more games all year. :csad:

But I trule believe in 2 or 3 years the Rams will be a Super Bowl contender.

Meh, make it 2012. The new coach will have to come in (or Rob Ryan will be promoted), bring in some new people, implement some new systems, etc. It won't be an over night turn around, but they will be contenders for the division by 2012. Holmgren really does have them on the right path.

Every team that they've beaten this season has been .500 or less. In fact, only two of their eight games have been against a team who is not and they lost both. I'd say the new guard of the NFC is more likely going to end up being the Seahawks and Redskins (and the Falcons but they are already almost there). And maybe the Panthers, if they get Cowher as coach.

The funny thing is that the 3 teams you mentioned (other than Atlanta) all have qb problems and all were already beaten by the Rams, all double-digits. All the rams need to put them over are receivers and some improvements need to be made to secondary but Spags has the Rams competing.

Plus the Rams losses to winning teams were by total of 3 points.

Oh yes, I do believe the Rams are good again. They'll win that division this year. They'll probably be a first round exit, but if they get hot, who knows what could happen. But one thing is certain. The Greatest Show On Turf will be back in 2012

Yeah probably. It depends on if Colt McCoy and Peyton Hillis develop well. But yeah, they're on their way

Also, I don't think we can say the Bucs are overrated just yet. They lost 27-21 to, arguably the second best team in the NFC. And they lost thanks to a crucial 4th down stop by the Falcons. Don't stick a fork in 'em just yet ;)

Difference is, Rams need more than what you mention. Washington needs a couple fixes. Same with Seattle. Then they are solid. As for Carolina, bring in Cowher and watch what he does. That team will be dominating their division in two years.

The Rams are "competing," in a division where the best record is 4-4. They, like KC, Oakland, and Tampa Bay are not legit. They are the result of a weak schedule and division.

Yeah. Thats my point. I'm not calling them legit now. I said they're probably going to win 2, 3 more games for the rest of the season, but they're not going to go down without a fight like in previous seasons.

I disagree that the Rams are worse off than Washington, Seattle, or Carolina, especially after what happened to the latter two. The Rams are much more tougher, resilient team than those teams, but we'll have to wait until they play Atlanta and New Orleans in order to really test what the Rams are made of.

"Zomg these two teams are only 5-3 that means they r teh suxxor!"

Teams can lose division games against other good (or improving, in Oakland's case) teams and not cost doubt on their entire seasons. KC needs to improve on the road, I know that as well as anyone, but give them credit for what they've been able to do so far.

Your facetious attitude is funny considering you are completely overselling teams who have defeated teams with a combined record of 12-24. I've been saying all season that the Chiefs, Raiders, Rams, and Bucs are not nearly as good as they look. Their records are misleading due to bad divisions resulting in easy schedules (the West conferences play this year. That results in crazy easy schedules all around for the West teams. And the Bucs just got a lucky draw).
