I never buy into this crap about one conference being "dominant" over the other one, especially this season. There are plenty of good teams on both sides, and conversely, all teams are completely capable of turning in a crap performance against anyone that they are "supposed" to beat.
Well back in the 80's and 90's when the NFC won like 13 consecutive Super Bowls and was clearly dominant. Nowadays in the 'age of parity" or "parody" some might say, you're probbaly right...

I just heard that Brett Favre is planning to 'retire' again. Let's see how long it lasts this time...

Her show got canned. Her time of fame is up after thisI think that Brett will finally hang it up after this season but I wonder if he would have had this Sterger situation not come to light.
It's kind of sad, really... as much as I make fun of Brett, he truly is a great player and it's a shame that this sexting scandal has tainted the final days of his career. No one wants to be remembered that way, but well... he's only got himself to blame, I guess.
I'm surprised that no one has been able to record some conversations between him and Deanna as of late. I bet those would be interesting.
AFC Supremacy?
Falcons beat the Ravens.
Packers beat the Jets.
Eagles beat the Colts.
Saints beat the Steelers.
I love how everyone was saying the AFC was so beast, when only the top teams were beating people. In the NFC just about every team is good and has a reason to play hard, except Carolina, they're just sad.
Brady has been off the last couple of weeks and God help me, for saying this but yeah, without Moss, he's not going to have the same time numbers he's had. It's one team vs. one team. Some teams have strengths where others have weaknesses.
Hell yeah the AFC holds supremacy. There are numerous better teams in the AFC where right now, the only teams that look even remotely worthy of a Super Bowl berth right now are the Giants and Falcons. This whole year has been a debacle in general, but it's clear the AFC has stronger teams. If you put those teams up against each other again, the outcomes might be different- it's hard to judge in the NFL by a single game considering any team can come out to play on any given day. But, for the most part, there is a much larger number of teams in the AFC that has shown to be more complete teams with less blaring holes in their personnel than the best teams in the NFC have.
Pittsburgh's corners and O-line could use upgrades (although with Ben back there, it's not like the O-line is quite as pressing as it would be for most other quarterbacks). The Jets' only real blaring weakness is Mark Sanchez. The Ravens, despite having what I'd call the most complete team in the league (minus corners) have barely beaten some bad teams (and even defeated by some of them), and whenever they do go up against good teams, they choke up (they squeaked by the Jets despite Sanchez's shoddy performance, they couldn't hold Pittsburgh off despite a 4th-string QB and numerous missed calls on their O-line, and quite frankly, the only good win I've seen out of them was against the Dolphins)... Not to mention, the game against the Bills was inexcusable.
To add to them, you can never count out Peyton or Brady, the Titans are on somewhat of a roll, the Chiefs and Raiders have vastly improved since last year. In the NFC, you have the Giants and Falcons. The rest of the teams have HUGE holes or issues underlying. The only other team I can think of that may make a good run is the Eagles. The Saints and Packers have had their up-and-down moments that just leave people unconvinced.
The lions have been playing each team very hard, Cowgirls, Ill give you that, and the vikes and cards still have a shot to win their respective divisions, along with San Fran.Yeah, the 49ers, the Lions, the Clownboys, the Vikings and the Cardinals are just kicking so much ass.
