I'll have you know as a former New Yorker, I've always been a sad Knicks fan. :argh::csad:

Are you talking about in general or people on this board?

Both actually. Don't give me a dollar when I'm rich and throw dirt on me when I'm dead. I'd rather you give me a dollar when I'm poor or even flowers when I'm dead(I know I'm reaching but that's the only analogy I can think of). :o

Docker seems to be like that senile old man at the end of the bar who does nothing but complain about random things, and everyone just humors him because he's like the bar mascot.

At a bar, possible. Senile and old...................hardly. Complains about random things........................drinking does that. Being a pervert, what guy isn't?

CConn what did you think of the Sixers game last night? I was at the bar watching the whole game and we had them in the first half, and then in thesecond we fell apart. We still a pretty good team cause we played them tough but we gotta win more games against the good teams.

I work Friday nights, so I missed it.

It pissed me off. To get that big of lead, there's no reason to blow it all away in 20-6 3rd quarter.

Oh ESPN....

ESPN's statement:

Last night, ESPN.com’s mobile web site posted an offensive headline referencing Jeremy Lin at 2:30 am ET. The headline was removed at 3:05 am ET. We are conducting a complete review of our cross-platform editorial procedures and are determining appropriate disciplinary action to ensure this does not happen again. We regret and apologize for this mistake.

Maybe it was an actually accident. He has seemed invincible lately. Hopefully this will piss Lin off and he takes all his anger off on the Mavericks because no Melo or JR tomorrow. :csad:

I like ESPN, but sometimes they are run by idiots who should've known better. It's like that short video of Lin in a fortune cookie shown on the MSN teletron screen a few days ago.

Really? I thought both of them will start on Sunday. But Knicks have a chance to make a statement against one of the West's top teams even without Melo and JRS.

He played exactly the way he played the last seven games. Scored 20 or more points, had a bunch of turnovers, only this time they just lost. Teams lose. It's happened before Lin and it will happen after. Deal with it.

Exactly, It was a disappointing loss because it was the Hornets...But the rest of the team shot 4-24 from 3 point range and had terrible free throw shooting.

Knicks should've tried for the higher percentage shots instead, and aren't they one of the worst 3-point shooting teams in NBA?

ESPN lilkes to build players up just to knock them down. That artcle title is great. I have no doubt that the author of the article didn't think anything of it. Ironically it was probably closet racist that only saw that as racist.

Honestly? I didn't even notice the racial slur until I read that they took it down a few minutes later....I was like, why? Then it dawned on me. To which I literally laughed out Loud.

Also, WTF Bulls?!? :argh:

That's what I'm saying, I really don't think anything was intended by it. Who the freak still says ch**k? With all the asian porn out, you'd think that mind set would go out with bell bottoms.

I think ESPN should fire whoever made that headline; there's no way that he did not know the implication of that racial slur.

Btw, I wonder how Matrix will do against Lin tomorrow.

They did.

Saturday we apologized for two references here. We have since learned of a similar reference Friday on ESPN Radio New York. The incidents were separate and different. We have engaged in a thorough review of all three and have taken the following action:

  • The ESPN employee responsible for our Mobile headline has been dismissed.
  • The ESPNEWS anchor has been suspended for 30 days.
  • The radio commentator is not an ESPN employee.

You would think they had learned their lesson after using the same headline in 2008 for the Olympics (held in China).

Im starting to realize ESPN is the Fox News of sports....

And ironically, ESPN's Director of Digital Media Communications is Asian himself.
