I didn't offend me at all. I didn't report it.

The fact that like 4 people popped up to say I'm right and you're wrong more than bandaged my wounds. :o

It's cool, it's a message board and I wasn't trying to offend you. It was actually an obvious joke and surprised some people took it so serious when I actually quoted where it came from but it's cool. Just saying I didn't mean anything by it.

And about the 76ers, listen they are a great team and people are looking at now, just like a lot are saying the Knicks suck(when it's only their coach that does, but that's another story)but when the smoke clears and by the end of the year, the Knicks will be in and the Philly 76ers will be in as well but not like they are now. I just want to put this out there, the last time their was a shortened season, the Knicks were the 8th season and went to the Finals. Just saying..........................:o

Okay. If you say the same thing again for the 11th time, I may report you. :o

That Knicks team was so much better then this Knicks team now. Patrick Ewing was so much better at playing center then Amare, plus the Knicks had good role players and Latrell Sprewell, nuff said.

I'm pretty sure I've said they suck.....and they kinda do.

This Lin guy may actually change that.

Although, I'm half expecting Melo go start hogging the ball again once he gets back and ruin everything. :o

I already got an infraction for repeating crap so it won't matter.

Some other time, maybe after the Bulls lose to the Celtics today.

This team is actually more talented, just have a mediocre coach. If Phil Jackson ever came out of retirement.....................

That's my biggest fear. I don't know how Melo is going to fit in. Amare is going to thrive but Melo has to have the ball in his hand to be effective. But he may just enjoy winning in the Garden and thrive. You never know.

How is this Knicks team more talented?

I'm starting to think Docker was just upset we weren't talking about the Knicks more. :o

Talent (or coaching, generally) is nowhere near as important as how a team is constructed.

Mediocre coaches can still see success if the team is constructed in a solid way.

It's when the pieces aren't put together in a clear fashion that coaching becomes more and more important. To find a way to make what they have work in a decent system. Best example of that is when Rick Carlisle first touched down in Detroit after they'd just traded away Grant Hill for Ben Wallace and Chucky Atkins. Pretty much everyone thought that they were going to suck when they made that deal, and with most coaches in the NBA they probably would have, but Carlisle put together a system that worked with the guys they had. Then after that they dealt Stackhouse (who had flourished under Carlisle) for Rip Hamilton, Carlisle adjusted the offensive system to incorporate Rip's talents after he'd spent a couple fairly non-descript years in Washington in a system which didn't really suit his strengths as well.

That said, the Pistons and Carlisle were a fairly rare case, most of the time coaches in the NBA lack imagination or are too scared of getting canned to show any. I suspect the former, but the latter could also be true.

Right on cue, poor execution, missing WIDE open jumpshots, terrible turnovers (what the hell is Pau doing at the arc dribbling again? Then launching airballs...) and just like that, the Raptors are back in the game :wall:

That was utterly ridiculous. This is one of those games were people look at the boxscore and cry "oh Kobe didn't play team ball" well to hell with that, especially if you weren't watching Jamaal Magloire push Gasol out the paint at will. They were crushing the Raptors and inexplicably, just decided it's Sunday in Toronto so the game must be over in the 3rd. Everybody stopped playing hard.

The fact that Kobe had to hit 3 clutch shots to beat the f***ing Raptors should be all the front office needs to see! Unless they're just content with a first round exit and trying to make moves in the offseason, letting this team go as constructed is beyond me...

Lin and the Knicks will be better with Melo.

Melo goes back to his strong position on the weak side of the court where he excels and Lin dictates the flow...This was the biggest issue with the Knicks, Melo was not a point forward...he was a straight up scorer.

Imagine Durant taking on Westbrook's role on OKC...Additionally, Melo and Chandler pushed Dantoni to play Lin and I know Melo's game in clutch time is needed for a team to make a push to the next level.

Knowing the Lakers thats what they will do, wait until the offseason to make changes. I expect Mike Brown to be fired after this season.

I think you underestimate my Raps sir...:whatever:

Btw...very controversial 5 count call on the inbounds play by a very controversial official.

Lakers are an average at best basketball team so its expected they win a close won against the Raptors, because average teams cannot put teams away the way they suppose to.

Hardly watch NBA, except for playoffs...but MAN.

Those Clippers...then that Lakers record. Is this an alternate universe?

^ Hhaha no Clippers are just pretty good this season, I think they will win the pacific division.

Ah okay, thanks.

Charlotte and New Orleans are sad. I remember being a fan of Charlotte Hornets...sad situation.

I'm expect that as well. The Knicks need to let Lin keeps the ball and pass it when the situation calls for it, and not let Melo or Amare hogging the ball and pretend that they don't have a PG, because now they finally got one and he's the real deal. But I do expect the Knicks to screw this one up like they always do, somehow.

As the Lakers are currently constructed, I don't think they can win the Pacific division, and they're actually worse than last year's 2nd round exit team. Unless they pull off a blockbuster trade and acquire a playmaker next to Kobe, I don't think this team will go anywhere this season. Unfortunately, aside from the "Big Three", the Lakers need help everywhere; SF, PG, and a bench that is better than the current one (which ranks near the bottom in the league for points). What in the world has Mitch Kupchak done? Asleep at the wheel?

I'm sure LA will dig themselves out of this hole after this season. They been like this before and found a way to contend for the title again. They was like this from the early to late 90s and from 2005-2007 but found a way back in contention.

I dnt think phil jackson is coming to save them again

4-15, the Lakers look worse than last year's Heat when Haslem and Miller were out. Yeesh.

Not wanting to piss on anyone's procession, but it is still fairly early days to be calling Lin the real deal.

He has been making good decisions but he's also been given a lot of space to get comfortable, that makes a big difference. Especially early in games.

When Stoudemire comes back teams are going to have to tighten up on pick-n-roll D though or the pair of them are going to light teams up. But I still haven't really seen how Lin handles good tight coverage. In fact I've seen him struggle and make big mistakes a few times because he got ahead of himself.
