With the state the Trailblazers and the Hornets are in, they may be able to slip on in there.

There's a rumor that says Howard has requested Magic to trade him to the Nets.

Clippers claimed Chauncey Billups off amnesty waivers

Man Clippers going hard this season...

I hope nobody makes any more offers for Chris, period. Let him walk next season, and lets see Stern sell the team then.
Um, I could be wrong, but I read somewhere that the Hornets have a potential buyer, and they didn't want any CP3 trades to happen.

So Stern may actually be doing it to HELP sell the team.

Since the CP3 trade didn't work, I thought Lakers could've claim him for their short-term PG fix, but I guess they don't want two aging PG on their roster.

Yeah.

Each team gets to cut a player and pay them the money they owe, and it's completely off the Cap. They get put on the Waiver wire, where any team can claim em if they want him.

Also, if Chauncy makes good on that threat, the Clips may regret picking him up. :o

“@ESPNSteinLine: Just filed w/@Chris_Broussard: Sources close to talks tell ESPN there is renewed momentum to seal @CP3 trade to Clippers as soon as Tueday”

Interesting.

the Owner of the Nets has announced that he'll run for President of Russia.

до свидания.

Well, guess Jay-Z will become the new majority owner after Putin has his ass killed. :o

Trade talks involving Chris Paul between the Clippers and Hornets are back on, according to sources.

The Clippers are offering Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu and the Hornets' choice between Eric Gordon and the 2012 first round pick from the Wolves.

After the Clippers walked away from talks, sources said the NBA was trying to*salvage*the discussions.

The NBA remains "hopeful," according to the source, that Paul's fate can resolved "soon."

One source said the NBA is motivated to get a deal completed by Tuesday.

Paul told the Clippers he would invoke the 2012-13 option in his contract as part of the trade, which would guarantee that he would be paired with Blake Griffin for at least two seasons.

"The league has no choice," said a source to Ken Berger. "They have nowhere else to go."

The Clippers and being good just doesn't work right in my head.

Sources close to Chris Broussard say in a surprise twist CP3 is now being traded to the ToonSquad for Bugs Bunny, the Tazmanian Devil, Daffy Duck and 2 first round picks.

As long as they don't give up Bill Murray. He's their best clutch player.

Man the Clippers are giving up way to much for Paul!!! I don't get this! They just claimed Billups off of waivers now they are trading their team for Paul! It's not a bad deal but it's a "Isaiah Thomas" like deal in that they are over trading for him.

Kaman, Aminu, and Minny's pick for Paul is a great deal for the Clippers, IMO.

It would actually make them relevant.

Yeah that deal would be great for Paul, but they are asking for Gordon and Bledsoe as well. So you are giving up 2 all stars and a lottery pick for one all star with a suspect knee. That's a bad deal if I ever saw one. Plus you never trade big for small.

What I don't get is why they signed Billups and still going after Paul? I'd rather have combination at the point with Bledsoe, Billups, and Williams than just Paul

Billups can't be traded this season...
