Rose out for the rest of the Playoffs with a torn ACL and MCL. Don't think he'll be the same either when he comes back.

I was really looking forward to this game too. Very disappointing.
 
Funny thing Lobo, they are not even showing replays after fouls any more. This game was laughable. One of the worst called games ever.

Funny thing is Miami probably would have beaten the Knicks but this was a completely unnecessary rig job. It's yet another black eye on the sport and it's why the NBA will never be the NFL no matter how much they try.
 
The Knicks just lost their composure midway through the 2nd. Now granted, there were plenty of bogus calls, but you can't make it worse with boneheaded "plays" and turnovers. I expect a very different game 2.

On another note I feel bad for D-Rose & Shumbert.
 
I put on my Stat jersey and got called for a foul; suddenly wishing Worldpeace was a Knick

Are you serious?!?! I'm surprised the Knicks didn't throw chairs in stands the way the game was called! I think they played well considering it was 5 on 8! Again, it's no knock on the Heat because I felt they would win the first game, but honestly go on ANY sports site, whether it's yahoo or ESPN, or Fox or CBS and read the comment section on this game and it's a landslide! People think this game looked rig!

But the "experts" said that the regular season doesn't count because the playoffs are a new season basically. Like I said, they are not that good. :o Bosh plays like a small forward, rather than a 4. Honestly, Amare would have dominated him but we never would have known had the refs not intervened.

Meh, Bosh and Amare IMO are similar players. There's a reason why Woodson puts Chandler on Bosh and not Stat, because he knows Bosh would go off on him.

Dead serious. Of course an emotional fan is going to feel different, in particular Knicks fans who simultaneously feel their team is what the Earth should revolve around while feeling decades of ineptitude at the same time.

The truth is, there were at least 5-10 entry passes they forced that resulted in turnovers, and subsequently points for the Heat. There were ill advised, jacked up shots that came late in the shot clock numerous times, because they couldn't get into their offense. And their were plenty of boneheaded charges, some of which the refs probably missed, but more that the Knicks committed themselves. They didn't play smart, with composure, or under control.
 
I say force all refs (in every league) to go in front of the press after the games. If there was accountability there would probably be less of this boo s**t.

Wow dude. Wow. :dry: I don't know if you are being sarcastic or serious. If you didn't see those bad calls that turned the game into the Heat's favor, then you didn't see the calls in the Lakers/Kings game when the ref admitted he fixed the game.

I already said the refs called alot of bogus things in my first post, but that doesn't, and shouldn't, excuse the fact that the Knicks lost their composure. They played well for one and a half quarters, but the turnovers weren't magic or witch craft, they just turned it over. Repeatedly. They couldn't get entry passes to Carmelo at all. They routinely ran late in the shot clock which caused a bunch of ill advised shots. It's facts.

I also said I expect a different game 2, I didn't expect them to win this one in the first place. But to try and act like the refs, and only the refs, are the reason they lost like this is just wrong.
 
As someone who isn't a fan of either the Knicks or Heat, I wouldn't say today's game was rigged by any means.

Obviously the calls went Miami's way but the Knicks completely lost all composure in the second half and let all the momentum go Miami's way.

Nowhere near Kings/Lakers game 7.

Exactly. One thing that's guaranteed to get you blown out by Miami is turning the ball over, one thing they do do better than anybody is convert turnovers in transition. Do it 27 times and you don't have a chance.

Melo was invisible, Baron Davis made a ton of inexcusable turnovers, JR Smith didn't play well, Shump got hurt. The Knicks aren't innocent in all this.

The refs caused the momentum swing and the Heat took control and the Knicks never recovered. I'm just glad we won't see this officiating crew again.
