Bynum is really abysmal at handling a double team.

I don't know how many times I've said that in here this year. It's why I get irritated quickly when people say he's better than Dwight, or that he needs "more shots". Dwight handling double teams is what makes Orlando even relevant, and Bynum still struggles with it, with way more talent around him, and its the main reason the offense goes away from him. Simple.

There was a sequence tonight where he turned it over three consecutive times. Which in turn makes him frustrated because they stop trying to force him the ball, which naturally leads to Kobe taking more shots in order to try and make them pay for doubling the paint. Bottomline is Bynum needs to learn to make quicker decisions with the ball to beat that pressure, because Denver is making it no secret they plan to keep doubling.

I actually thought Bynum had improved drastically on learning how to pass the ball when he is double-teamed, but tonight is a huge regression. If he doesn't make adjustment in the next game, Nuggets will just keep trapping him to create more turnovers, and Lakers will be in trouble.

I remember going to game 1 against the nuggets in 2006 and it was loudest arena I ever heard. Staples center will be insane today

It's ridiculous really. He knows it's coming and even after it does it takes him like ten seconds to find a pass. The second you get doubled give it to someone, it's really not some crazy skill.

Honestly, I don't think he should be giving it up.

He's not exploiting McGee's stupidity, that's the issue. They SHOULD be going through Bynum a lot, all he needs to do is wait on the reach and make his move through McGee and draw the foul, but then Bynum's not the sharpest tool in the shed either.

They should be going through Bynum, and he should be looking to draw early fouls to take McGee out of the game and limit the Nuggets front court. He just isn't, and nobody's told him to (or Bynum hasn't listened to them).

JaVale McGee has the physical attributes to be a top 5 centre in the NBA... it's just a damn shame that he's such a moron. Nothing's as tragic as wasted potential.

That's the thing, you're mentioning the double-teams... but a lot of the time he was already losing the ball before the double came. McGee's playing aggressive on the ball and he's not dealing with it because he either doesn't know how to or because he's an idiot.

How about we send Novak to the Clippers and see how that works out. :cmad:

Dantoni ran no plays. It's why he and Amare couldn't really play well together because Dantoni's plan was to let Lin do everything and let his superstars just watch. When Woodson took over, Amare and Melo did play well together, the media just didn't report that because as you stated with the NY media, they kill their superstars but wanted to make Lin the new darling. They both played a lot better under Woodson. It would be telling if Melo was out for months and Lin did bad. The media in NYC would literally crucify dude. Literally.
Yo Docker in the last ten years knicks have zero playoffs wins! Clippers have nine! Just some food for thought!

The ABC pregame show guys are totally destroying the Knicks right now.

Well looks like the 76ers might be on there way to a 3-1 series lead if we can somehow hold on.

The Bulls on their way to an epic collapse. This is like the Philly team from January.

Man, did everyone see how fast all those Knicks fans sat down after Bron hit that 3 pointer. Only Spike was left standing. LOL!

Gonna be a fun 4th.

Aaaaaaaaaand Baron Davis' Knicks career comes to a close.
That was one of the most calm and chillest knee dislocations I've ever seen in a game. He just kinda ran down the floor... then laid down.

He went down pretty hard, he just wasn't in any real pain because adrenaline is one helluva drug.

This game is going to end in one of two ways.....

1. It will be an eeked out win that will just boost the psyche of the fans and franchise going forward or....

2. It will be a classic Garden heart-breaker just like a Ewing missed finger roll or a Reggie Miller 8pt outburst.

I don't think this will be a meltdown or last second blowout at this point.

Knicks fans don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to ref ball after that call right there on Battier.

Well that was a dumb play at the end.

Outside of Game 1, Melo's stopped himself more than the Heat defense has, simply by missing a lot of jumpers. He didn't let them off the hook today, he was in the paint a lot.

Well there you Knicks fans, rejoice in a playoff victory.

To be fair, as a Heat fan he did get some elbow there but to call that at that time. Ballsy.
