Yeah, but with a proper quarterback, they would be the best team in the NFL. Smith is holding them back from really being mind blowingly good. Of course, they don't need to be the best team in football. Just the best team for three games. Such is the beauty of NFL playoffs.

Who cares if he is holding them back if they end up winning it all? They're close to doing it, and tied in this game to get to the big game.

It's possible but Eli and the Giants normally turn things up at this point in the game. If the Niners defense keeps doing what they've done...it could happen.

Tebow didn't deserve to be in the plays, nor should the Giants and by your logic the Ravens shouldn't have either because Flacco was the most inconsistent QB in the league. Yet, these things happen. Smith was so clutch last week and went blow for blow with Drew Brees. He's been getting the job done all year, I'd love to see him in the big game.

One game against the worst secondary in the league doesn't make you a great QB. Everyone has good games. As for him "getting the job done," he really hasn't. 3,000 yards. 14 TDs....these are the numbers of a rookie quarterback, not a 7th year. His team has been winning because Harbaugh plans around him.
