I don't think they are one-dimesional in that they can get the big plays either way..and they can adjust and take what they can get. And I think that's what you have to somehow prevent against the Giants. Put it this way, I think at this point they can adjust if they work on their running game this week. The obviously have deep capability, but can take little gains at a time if that works beat. I do expect the run to become used more in this game and be more effective. It'll have to be against this better D.

Good point but the 49ers are capable of comepletely shutting you down. They can stop the run, get pressure on the QB and as we saw last week, they can cover receivers well and force turnovers. I think they'll come out and try to punch the Giants in the mouth and it will be a very close game.

We did have a Harbaugh Bowl. It was a Thursday Night NFL Network game and as you've just proven, totally forgettable. :hehe: The way those two offenses play, I don't see that game being any good a second time around.

I love a good defensive showdown, but could you imagine how boring the offensive play calling in that game would be? Run, run, screen pass. Run, run, short dump over the middle. Run, run, play action pass for 3 yards. It would make Bruce Arians look like a creative, offensive genius.

The Pats/Giants offer the chance for the most fireworks IMO. Yeah, we've seen it before and it was possibly the best Super Bowl of all time. A Harbowl would be boring, IMO.

Story wise, I think they could do days of Brother vs. Brother stories and interviews.

But not that the Superbowl needs ratings but a Superbowl XLII rematch would probably be the Marquee match up.

I think the story of the rematch of the greatest Super Bowl ever is just as (if not more) exciting of a story than brother vs brother.

For that reason I'm hoping for a Niners vs. Patriots Super Bowl.

That way I dont have to see every photo from the Harbaugh family scrapbook, nor do I need to see David Tyree catching the ball on his helmet another 10,000 times.

Didn't say the Harburgh would be more exciting just more stories. Interview with parents, school, etc. More filler than going over Super Bowl XLII and talking with current and former players.

Plus the sports media will have a pretense to conduct at least 4 interviews with their poster boy in waiting, Andrew Luck!

I really don't have anything against the teams left, but I think I'm leaning towards Giants and Pats. I just think the potential SB rematch might be cool.

Plus, the Giants purged my playoff viewing of the Packers, so I have to back them at this point.

I think I'd rather have a colonoscopy than sit through another Harbowl.

I think a Pats/49ers SB would be awesome... Brady against his childhood team... top ranked offense versus top ranked defense... would be a sweet game... in my opinion.

:yay:

I've heard Andrew McCarthy was contacted, but refused to comment.

I thought it was Judd Nelson they contacted but whatever.

Then again, I think the Rock was one of the first before even the President's report that Bin Laden was dead.

Dun dun.

That's because the Rock was there, son.
