Jaromir Jagr possible coming back to the Penguins?
http://pittsburgh.sbnation.com/pitt...r-to-speak-with-mario-lemieux-ray-shero-today

The Pittsburgh Tribune Review’s Josh Yohe is reporting, via Jaromir Jagr’s very-talkative agent Petr Svoboda, that the Czech winger is expected to speak with Penguins owner Mario Lemieux and general manager Ray Shero Wednesday.

The article goes on to say if Jagr does not go with the Penguins for the agreed amount, he could end up in Detroit.

Trust me, I know just how short 5'6" is. I'm not much taller. Theo Fluery and Gionta are 5'7" alright. On skates.
Fleury's 5'6 as reported by his team, and alright, he's 5'7 on skates but you add an inch to everyone because of that. We'll see how Grimaldi does. Nathan Gerbe's playing well, so obviously it can be done. Doesn't change the fact you have to be extremely good to succeed at all when you're about half a foot shorter than the average player in very physical game.

Nhl awards tonight hosted by Jay Mohr. Who is he?

Go watch Suicide Kings. He also does Stand Up Comedy.

He also does a great Christopher Walken impression. Just youtube some of it.

Agreed. I was a Larsson fan at the beginning of the year, but watching Hopkins through out the year, the guy (offensively) is a carbon copy of Datsyuk. I still like Larsson but Iook at St.Louis who passed on Toews and Backstrom to draft a defender first overall and how it worked out for them...no thanks.

Plus at 19 some good dmen will still be available. I'm also interested to see what team jumps on the midget Grimaldi or the 6'7 giant Olesiak in the first round.

I want the Oilers to draft Larsson, been saying it for a while :awesome:

But I really wouldn't be adverse to the Oilers drafting RNH instead. I can't imagine what a first line of Hall, RNH and Eberle would be like :awesome:

109 sleeps until the first home game in Winnipeg! We're playing Montreal Sunday, October 9! Game starts 4pm local time, broadcast on CBC.

Full schedule comes out tomorrow! That's the most exciting thing, seeing the schedule. Apparently coach and team name sometime this weekend!

http://panthers.nhl.com/ Panthers are going red. New jersey/logo is coming.

SO in other words, they are going back to the original color scheme.

Tim Thomas just capped off one of the greatest seasons ever by a goalie. Only he and Bernie Parent have won the Vezina, Conn Smythe and Cup in the same season.

Well done TT.

Canucks hauled in quite a few awards.

Kesler for the Frank J. Selke Trophy was a given.

Who will Edmonton pick?

ugh, my sharks pick 28th...really:csad:

Since my team has ceased to be, even their freakin website and Facebook pages are gone..I think I'll take page from the Silver Knight book of life, and root for 40% of the NHL. Cool?

:hehe:

:csad:

lol who had Corey Perry winning the Hart Trophy at the start of the season?

@ Poeman: Good point!!

How did Toronto get so low in the draft order? They didn't strike me as having a terribly good season, (although I don't really follow 'em so I could be off..)??

Did they trade away their draft order or something..I'd have thunk they would be higher than that...

When they signed Kessler, they gave away a LOT of early draft picks to do so... it's how Boston got Tyler Seguin @ #2 last year... the Bruins got Toronto's 1st & 2nd round picks in 2010, as well as their 1st in 2011.

Why is Bylsma coach of the year?

I guess due to making the playoffs without Crosby or Malkin.

Ah..and ouch!

I assume that's the reasoning behind Bylsma..not having his superstars at season's end and still doing something. I'd have gone with Guy Boucher myself...

Him not making his team shake hands at the Winter Classic should have taken him out of the running.

No matter how aggressive hockey is in any level, we have the best sportsmanship and that was a very pathetic move during that game...

Kessel, but yeah. Unfortunately Tyler Seguin will probably develop over the course of the next year into a player of Kessel's level, but then again, Seguin's playing with better players.

Yes and then Toronto got Boston's 1st pick along with Joe Colborne in the Kaberle deal. Then when Boston made the finals Toronto also got Boston's 2nd round pick as well.

I'd have to say that Seguin is going to be a much better player than Kessel. Kessel's problem is he has no heart and he's a complete pansy.

Richards just went for Simmonds and Schenn (PHI <-> LA)

Wow! I have no idea what my Flyers have planned here. But it's something big. Richards and Carter dealt in the same day?! Never would have imagined that.

I saw they have a deal in place with Bryzgalov for like 7 mil a season I believe. I'd be willing to bet that they are going after Brad Richards in the FA market.

Busy day for Paul Holmgren.

I mean they're obviously planning on doing something big. All this cap clearing isn't just for Bryz. Tomorrow is going to be crazy for this team and July 1.

My thoughts exactly..moving out one Richards in place for another one - one that might actually be a bit happier playing for Philly..
