I don't really follow hockey, but what team would be up 2-0 in the championship series then proceed to lose the series in game 7 at home? And got shut out 4-0? Canucks fans should be ashamed for rioting and looting afterward as well. In fact, any fans (that includes Lakers fans) are idiots for rioting their own city whether winning or losing a title.

I know. I thought that was Montreal's thing. Everyone in Vancouver is saying those were professional rioters that planned this beforehand (as with most riots) but it's still sad to see all those people in Canucks jerseys getting rowdy and going along with it.

Still, good season from the Canucks, not too much to improve on, only one win away from the cup. Pittsburgh lost to Detroit only to come back and win it all the next year. I'm looking forward to talking about the Winnipeg situation more, anyway! Apparently the team name is expected to be released around next Tuesday, and it's been suggested that either way, their draft picks will wear generic NHL jerseys.

As for the new team's name, Ludlow is no longer predicting it will come before Tuesday's NHL board of governors meeting, where the sale of the Thrashers to True North is expected to be approved.
He's not even predicting a name before the NHL draft next Friday.
"That's tough -- unlikely -- possible, but there are a number of issues," he said.

Sorry guys..not a troll or a wanting to start any flames..I just plain ol' don't like the Canucks..never have..probably never will!

The only game I thought they, (Van), looked truly dominant in the series was game 1- and maybe a little bit of game 5 - but that was only because they took what Boston gave 'em..aka Boston not playing their style to win that one.

Anyway..yeah, I can be a little unclassy here and there, (and posting that comment when I was three sheets to the wind probably didn't help any either..lol ), but you'd be mistaken if you think I is troll-material...

The police reports are coming out now, apparently they arrested rioters involved in the G20 riot in Toronto, as well as guys from Portland and Seattle that were flagged as not being permitted to enter Canada during the Olympics... obviously a lot of young men went along with their antics, but it's nice to hear that these "professional rioters" were the initial cause of it.

It's also nice that people were downtown today with Canucks jerseys cleaning up the garbage.
