The Falcons don't lose games by large margins. The last time they lost a game by more than 10 points was in 2011.

24-2.

Mike Tomlin's Empty Threats Are Hilarious

This article hits the nail on the head. Especially this part:

Tomlin's not exactly dealing well with his team's suckitude, but "finding his replacement" is a bit premature. The guy has 4 playoff appearances, 2 AFC titles and a SB win. His team has gotten really old, but he might be able to rebuild. Give him a couple of more years at least.

It seems the NFL is looking to expand the playoffs in 2014 to 14 teams. I have mixed feelings about this. I like the format the way it is. Why change it? On the other hand, there have been a few teams over the past few years that have been screwed because someone made the playoffs by winning their division at 8-8(might happen this year in the NFC East).

What does everyone else think?

Playoffs

Ridiculous. The last thing the playoffs need is 8-8 or 7-9 teams qualifiying on a regular basis. The post-season is for the cream of the crop.

I love the facial expression of the guy in the suit.

The NFL should never mess with the playoff system. It's perfect the way it is.

JPP and Tuck were getting big pressure last year.

They really weren't, though.

Just to put it in perspective, last year they combined for 10.5 sacks. The year prior, JPP had 6 more than that on his own, and they combined for 21.5.

I was actually really disappointed by the Giants pass rush, as a whole, last year. (Osi, actually, played the best in his limited time.) And they've only been worse this year.

Tomlin's not exactly dealing well with his team's suckitude, but "finding his replacement" is a bit premature. The guy Bill Cowher has 4 playoff appearances, 2 AFC titles and a SB win. His team has gotten really old, but he might be able to rebuild. Give him a couple of more years at least.

Fixed.

I thought Gruden was going to rip his suit last night.

So it's like that again, RD? Really brah? Why did you have to remind me that game actually occurred?

Hey, five picks are five picks. That's almost Rex Grossman-worthy.

But look at the bright side. I put more Steelers on that least than members of any other team. I seriously don't think my team will win a game this year. Even when the Steelers suck, I can usually count on them at least beating the Browns, but even they've apparently improved (with a QB who was a Steeler for five minutes last year, no less).

hahahahahahaha

He is in good shape, had to rehab that knee.

Imagine if Pittsburgh had hit the panic button when Cowher had back-to-back losing seasons in '98 and '99. They probably wouldn't have their 6th title or Ben Surfnturfer.

Why was Gruden doing KB SWINGS? Hahaha

Probably to burn off excess energy. I saw a segment on NFLN a few years ago where Gruden said he's never been able to sleep more than 4-5 hours and night and rarely feels tired. He actually went to a doctor because he thought something might be wrong with him. Not a bad problem to have if you had to pick one.

Man, I want to punch Terrell Suggs in the face!

Anything you could do to his ugly mug would be an improvement. I believe HIS OWN TEAMMATES voted him the ugliest player in the league a few years ago.

I think most fans had faith in Cowher as he was able to turn around a team as opposed to Tomlin who was handed a SB caliber team. A lot of coaches could have brought their teams from last to first through rebuilding. Tomlin hasn't had the opportunity to do so yet, not saying he couldn't. But Cowher did after he took over.

Man, can you imagine if the Miami Heat, nay Lebron came out and complained this much about a championship game that they won? Wooooo! The Ravens are the biggest bunch of sore winners. Suggs is literally crying because it wasn't a blowout.

Suggs needs to stop b****ing. You are the reigning champion of the world. Shut the f*** up. It's completely unnecessary to bring up a conspiracy theory when the blackout ending up working in your favor anyway.

It really is annoying. Look, I hate the Ravens more than most people but they're the champs, and congrats to them for that. But seriously, enough with the "the league is out to get us and no one in the media respects us" bullsh**. If Roger Goodell (who is a monumental *****ebag, don't get me wrong) haaaaaaates the Ravens so much, then tell me Suggs, why was he hugging Ray-Ray before the Baltimore/Indy playoff game last year? And speaking of Ray Lewis... yes, the media disrespects Baltimore SO MUCH that they've acted like Ray's PR staff throughout the majority of his career (even the last 5 years or so, when his contributions to the team were comprised solely of pre-game pep talks and that stupid chicken dance thing he always does) and handed him a career at ESPN immediately upon his retirement.

I periodically tune in 105.7 the Fan when I'm in Baltimore, just to laugh at some of the BS that the players say. A couple of weeks ago, they were interviewing a player (can't remember which one) who was complaining that the Ravens get a bad rap, even though they're not a team that gets a lot of penalties. Oh, is that right? Umm, they were THE MOST PENALIZED TEAM IN THE NFL LAST YEAR. But of course, the radio host didn't dispute the player's claim at all (journalism at its finest).

I was listening on Monday for a bit too, and they were saying that the Ravens aren't getting the respect they deserve, despite being the champs. Look, your QB just threw FIVE interceptions against the f***ing Bills. The Bills might be a somewhat improved squad, but their ability to lose games is the stuff of legend. When you play that poorly against a team that mediocre, you deserve some flack, even if you are the champs. Take it from me, a guy who watched the Steelers lose to the Raiders, Browns and Chiefs, right after they won the Super Bowl.

Damn, there is alot of truth in that post. I can't even lie.

Yeah. And I'll be honest here, the Ravens are one of the best-run organizations in sports. They draft well, they target good free agents, and they are well-coached. I wish the Steelers were run as well as they are (even though plenty of drunk Yinzers will still spew some crap about being the BEST DAMN ORGANIZATION in all of sports because ROONEYS ROONEYS ROONEYS THEY DO IT RIGHT).

But I honestly think that the Ravens get so caught up in this "us versus them" mentality that it makes it hard to respect them.

OMG.

This needs to be put on a plaque.
