If Bayformers is a McRib sandwich, Avengers would be gormet BBQ ribs..

If you've ever read any decent number of Transformer comics you'd know gormet BBQ ribs for Transformers is easily achievable.

We will always rejects the puke inducing McRib version.

Stop trying to tell us that pork can't taste any better. We know better.

...I am very hungry now.
Don't worry.

I hear the McRib will be back soon.

Just think about how tasty that soggy meat and bread is drenched in cheap BBQ sauce with unfrozen pickles.

That's sum good eatin. Tell you what.

Burger King came out with their own MCRib. I still need to try that bad boy out

You don't get it, man.

Bay has to add adult potty humor, adult sexuality and adult violence in the Transformer films but he can't add adult depth or adult sci-fi.

It's not some completely hypocritical approach to something supposedly intended only child consumers.

Oh...wait.

Curious what this adult potty humor is you speak of. Mind you when you attempt to outline it I will direct you precisely to a scene in any of the three Ironman films and their ilk, that do the same.(fair warning).

Curious what this complete lack of "Adult depth" is you speak of, there are many themes and even controversial allegories littered all over the series.

There is simply too much horse blinders and hyperbole surrounding any discussion about this topic for my liking. Beast Wars was and is considered pretty much an awesome interpretation of said property, maybe even the best. Enter the fart jokes, enter the sexuality enter the silly jokes made by the to main protagonists robots...etc. Oh god oh god, the horror, the children.

Sure the show could be as cool as the comic book(so could batman) but the producers, one in particular, all decided on something else, something more true to the tone of the original hit show.

Malkovich acts the fool in this Red movie, it's a fun movie. Malkovich acts the fool in this toy commercial and Bay can't direct fine actors...that seem right?

I actually think Bay is very good at getting great performances out of his actors. Shia always gave great performances, Dwayne and Marky Mark were phenomenal. Ben Affleck, Bruce Willis, Ed Harris is always at his best when he's with with Bay. Seeing all the comparisons between Avengers and Transformers oh Avengers has brains and heart. While it may have more heart in it whatever that means I'm not so sure there's more brain.

After Earth is a complete disaster!

Yep. $95 million on a $130 million budget is disastrous and makes this Smith's worst movie.

Now think about this guys. He chose to do After Earth over Django Unchained.

Also Marv, sorry to say Much A Do has an expanding release date, hopefully will go wide but unsure.

It's a shame because IM pretty sure he wouldve knocked Django out of the park. Although Foxx was good in the role too

He would have. Foxx is good but Smith has a much great screen presence and charisma than Foxx ever will. Imagine the the last 20 minutes with Will Smith, especially with him saying "I got two guns."

Well at least it seems like Smith may be cooling it when it comes to blockbusters. Some of his upcoming projects like Focus and The American Can seem like they will give Smith at least some challenges. Although IM still f***ing waiting for Bad Boys 3

Bad Boys 3 needs to happen. My life will be complete. And it has to be crazier than the second. Lock Bay in and that's pretty much gonna be a guarantee.

I agree. I liked Foxx and I think Django helped his career but it's still fun to think if Smith took it. He would have been great. Especially since we know the role now, it would have been something different for him.

Oh man, if Smith swallowed his pride and actually took Tarantino's offer...goodness gracious. That film may have been even more marvelous (even though Foxx was fantastic).

2014 sure does have an odd arrangement. Just noticed marvel won't take their early may spot but instead Spidey will reclaim it and Cap will open in early april.. Bay's two films during june and a fast tracked fastfurious in early july with Xmen in the mid july spot again. GOTG in august.

Marvel originally scheduled Captain America 2 for May 16, two weeks after ASM2. But then they thought, "Screw it, we'll beat Sony to the punch" and moved it to April 4. I do like how Marvel is changing things up by picking different months to open their films, rather than just the summer months.

But summer 2014 looks to be weak sauce in terms of promising offerings. There's like 3-5 worth checking out, everything else looks bleh.

I think Cap's supposed tone and texture will make a better fit for the April spot then May. ASM2 undoubtedly will be more popcorny.
