Sources close to FJP are claiming working with Sutherland was terrible because Kiefer was always drunk and people around the set kowtowed to his every whim to keep him happy.

this kind of stuff 5 years later makes no sense at all. Is he pissed that they didn't call him back again for this season? his character sucked, if he was going to be a substitute for Bauer well they didn't think that through very clearly. I think Yvonee is a better Jack 2.0 than Prinze Jr, he didn't have the chops or the intensity to pull it off. Now he is the one that that's looking unprofessional

That said, I wasn't checking for FPJr. at all in this latest season so I don't really care if he burns his 24 bridges, lol.

I'm fine if they wait 2 years for another season. Larry David did that with Curb Your Enthusiasm numerous times.

We had a 2 year wait between seasons 6 and 7 due to the writer's strike and it turned out one of the best seasons of the show's run. We had a wait between season 8 and LAD...and well...we all know how great that turned out. I personally like the breaks. It builds up anticipation, keeps the show fresh and gives the writers and producers time to recharge and flesh out their ideas to create the best possible stories.

Yeah, with LAD I started looking at 24 like a movie franchise, since each one is kind of a standalone story. One "event season" every couple years works for me.

I'll go along with a break every couple of years... this gives everyone a break and then a chance to start fresh again and a good deal of time at working to give the fans a quality storyline like we've just gotten this season, all the while building up the fans' anticipation...

I don't think they're going to keep this going for 5+ years. I think doing a couple more seasons is the likely approach. There's already such a high demand for it to come back again. I don't think they can ignore that.

I'd think the first thing Chloe did was after Jack was taken was track down Kate
