50 state initiative

Well, with some good research you could do a Black Panther regarding when the dutch first started the slave trade and the first invaders of Wakanda

Union Jack... I don't know if a story has ever been done about the first Union Jack, but it would be good story telling.

Spider-people through out history... eh....

Perhaps a story about the beginning of the Nova Corps... an alien saga showing how the corps. first was concieved and it's early missions.

Piqued your intrest did I?

Well by going from JMS 'Amazing Spider-man' the first 'Spider-man' was born a thousand of years ago in Ghana and was be basis for Anazi the African trickster God.

Hope that helps.

But there was a Spider-Woman before that. In Greek Mythology, Arachne was a beautiful woman who was highly adept at textile arts (Cloth making). She even claimed to be better than Athena (Goddess of Textiles). for such arrogance she was transformed into a Spider.

... What about Dusk? I was just reading up on Slingers, and I read about Spider-Man's time in the Negative-Zone, and how "Dusk" was the traditional name of a champion of the people and symbol of freedom among the rebels against Blastaar. You could check up on them and see how the latest Dusk is doing.

I wasn't too intereted in Spider-People through out history because... meh. Spidey should be the beginning of a legacy, not the latest.

I do like the idea of a Nova Corps. story.

The Nova Corps were started by little blue men from another universe.

Hey with Annihilation and Nova getting greater exposer ya never know.

I have a question: How the hell is it that Annihlation has to do with Anhillus (which I haven't read issue one of that series and I knew he would be a part of it) and Civil War is mucking about the Negative Zone, yet none of this is getting any more over lap that Nova returning to earth and being ignored?

OH!

Dusk is tapped by Spider-Man to aid in a real Raid on the Negative Zone prison (know what we saw in CW#6, but BS). She helps them get to the Negative Zone and while she's there they encounter the formerly oppressed people of Blastaar's world who begin to worship her... leading her to stay in the Negative-Zone.

Cliffnote version: Basically Anhilus broke free of the Negative Zone which oddly enough he exited in outerspace. He has gather an army of insect like aliens to basically destroy our universe, his power has been amped up by taking some of the 'Power Cosmic' he's laid waste to the Skrull homeworld and is on his way here.

are you sure it was the Skrull homeworld and not the Throneworld? there is a difference.

in any case, how would Anhilus survive? There was air everywhere in the Negative zone, he couldn't possibly have been prepared for the fact that there would be none in outer-space.

Dude it's a comic, and who's to say Bug boy needs oxygen?

I wish I knew more about cosmic characters, I really haven't read anything about them.

I haven't in a while either. It takes some time to get up to speed, when Annihilation first started I hit up Wikipedia to get some backgroung on alot of the characters.

that's how I get information on most the characters I find interesting and would like to write.

Wikipedia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's a roach! Roaches will survive and adapt to anything. If this world exploded, you'd see some roaches in space hiding on comets and meteors. :o

you know, we are way off topic...

So how about this...Oregon Team is the Loners, who get to move up a state so that they can be replaced by the Champions (to the chagrin mostly of Ricochet).

Works for me. I'd say Washington State it suits them more, plus they are 90s era characters and what's more 90s than Seattle?

thats a good point, I figured the whole northwest fit their whole "Gen-X and not in an X-men way" motif.

why would ric be miffed?:ninja:

Well he kinda got muscled out of New York in a way, and now he's getting directly muscled out of California.
