Gloria = Morning Glories which are vines that will choke out other life if they aren’t checked.

lol he doesn't need to be like his comicbook counterpart, you always gotta repeat the same **** to some people, this is SV, anything is possible, & like Brainiac 8 said, similarties between the 2 always existed, so **** about it.

That's the way I feel also, if you keep looking for it to completely mimic the comics, you'll always be dissapointed in this show. It's a new telling, a different universe.

It's Earth-SV:woot: :cwink:

Very interesting.

You and I share very dissimilar thoughts about Lana. I thought she looked cheap and trashy.

I agree but I'll even go further: I hated her costume and her make-up, the headpiece thingy was awful too.

:down

Btw, I can't remember this but were Lex and Lana having sex....standing up?

What's wrong with that? They were still getting their clothes off so yes lol.

Yep, Green Arrow is definately in Batman's place in this universe, since there can't ever be a Batman. That's okay with me, making the best of a bad situation. It shows how badly they wanted Bruce Wayne when they give Oliver all of his characteristics

Btw, I can't remember this but were Lex and Lana having sex....standing up?

That's a good way of looking at it.

Probably, it's not a bad way to do it....oop....I may have said too much.:wow: :cwink:

I figure they were just starting out that way.
I hadn't made the Batman/Green Arrow connection but it's clearly there. Why can't there be a Batman?

Please not again :(

Because.. there isn't really any reason, it just isn't possible and we can't do anything about it.

I can't believe Lana was totally naked under that dress.

You may not be aware, but girls who are less... ahem... full figured (and don't *need* to wear a bra) wear dresses all the time without them... with that kind of dress, I'm not surprised at all she wasn't wearing one.

And just because she wasn't wearing a bra, it doesn't mean she was without undies.

Shes the one who coaxed Lex into sex also.

She must have wanted it...badly

You may be right about that, but I'm not sure her *not* wearing a bra proves anything about her intentions in that regard, no matter what you're implying.

I mean seriously why didnt Clark just heat vision the limbs as they were flying at him?
That's one thing I don't like about this show.. Clark is f-ing SUPER... he could nearly go into super speed whenever he wanted and be prepared for anything that came to him. He could use all his abilities and NEVER be in danger, unless kryptonite is near.

wtfbbq?!!? :cmad:

It's the same reason silly things hurt Superman in the comics, it would get dull if he didn't get smacked around a little bit.:cwink:

LOL!

Yeah, I think she was supposed to look like a two timing woman, hence her Cleopatra outfit.

I thought Lex was supposed to be Marc Antony to her Cleopatra. I kept saying "They didn't work out!"

My God you kids need to ****ing grow up. I've had enough of this "creeped out by Lexana" talk. They're both adults and there's nothing disturbing about two adults consumating their relationship. Jesus...if I didnt know any better I'd think everyone here was 14.

Anyway, on to what I thought of the episode:

Good -

Lex. Even though I'm one of the few who likes Lana I love how he told her off in one scene. Not to mention his convo with Clark was pretty brilliant as well. Although that last line was tiresome...I think this was maybe the third time Lex has said that in one form or another.

Lana. Real character progression here. Some dont understand why she still goes with Lex to the ball after that convo with Chloe, but it's pretty simple. She was taking Chloe's advice which was basically to go ahead and live life. Take a risk and see what happens with Lex.

Clark. Nice to see some "lonesome hero" themes bandied about.
Chloe and Jimmy. Nice chemistry. Sweet and innocent even with their obvious lust for one another.

Oliver. Loved the arrow-in-the-soda-tab scene. Pretty good chemistry with Lois too. She's much better with him than she was with Aqua-dude and Invisible Man.

Lexana. We learn a little more about their relationship. Thought the ball scene was rather sweet.

Bad -

The main plot with PZ plant girl. Basically a FOTW but from another planet and surprisingly terrible special effects to boot. Good to see more consequences from the premiere though.

Not sure about Clark seeming jealous over Chloe and Jimmy. I know she layed a fat one on him last season but c'mon...why does he all of a sudden have feelings for her again after 5 years?

Overall - 6/10

I'm pretty sure he was. I can just see Richard Burton wearing the same outfit.

So basically, this was a "relationship" episode..

To bring up/highlight/contrast Clark's "no-relationship"/loner current status..

A "budding" one (pun intended) Lois - Oliver..
A "post-budding" Chloe - Jimmy..
And the "poison ivy" one, Lana - Lex..

I guess that was the concept "delivered" to the "lucky" writer..

It was decent, on the edges a bit "forced" due to "delivered to a rookie(?)" nature of it,
but it's the way it goes anyways..

Milestone was reached..
The "main" girl finaly shared the vilain of the story, after the hero of the story..

interesting.. :)

Loved this episode. Ollie is the man. Cool Lotus too.

Man, Green Arrow was freakin cool, though I could have done without the Poison Ivy ripoff.
Lana is officially now the Smallville ****.

Was that what that car was? They should have shown more of it.. I miss the old days where they made it a point to show Lex in a different ride every episode.

They still do that, only now it seems Lana has a new SUV every episode, even though she's a poor college student... :cwink:
