6.05 - Reunion - Discussion Thread - "Spoilers"

The first Lex-centered episode that was a total borefest. Who the @$% cares about Lex Luthor when he was a kid? Lex was a real dick to Clark at the hospital. What is Lex scared of? I guess he still has no confidence in Lana's feelings for him. Pathetic. Zoners? Chloe is loosing her touch. Lois wasn't as annoying as she usually is. Next week looks good finally another Clark episode.

I'm not a great fan of Lexcentric episodes either. I'm one of the few who dont hold Memoria and Shattered as THE BEST EPISODE EVER. In fact neither of them are even close for me, but I thought Reunion was an interesting look at Lex. It certainly left me with the opinion that he doesnt become the sociopath he becomes because he had a woobie childhood.

He is a sociopath because of the choices that he has made in his life and twisted and immoral outlook on himself, the people around him and the world in general.

Ollie said that he was trying to make up for his past whereas Lex just keeps getting his hands dirtier and dirtier.

And I agree Lex was an ass to Clark at the hospital, but you know I think that just makes Lex look BAD and I cant wait for the day when Clark just spits one back at him.

while not my favorite episode by any stretch of the imagine, i think Lexmas ranks up there as one of the overall bext episodes of the series

I thoroughly enjoyed Lexmas. It was really refreshing and original for the series.

i think it was superbly thought out, acted, scripted. and showed a glimpse of what could be and why lex makes the choices he does. plus the cliffhanger might have been the best of the season if not series

and various other Detective Comic references have been made in the first 5 and half seasons and it took all until NOW to get a mention of Gotham City? It sucks.

I want to have Queen or Lex looking in the Daily Planet in an episode, checking stocks only and in the top three most succesful buisnesses or something there is, Queen Industries, LuthorCorp, and Wayne Enterprises.

Just a mention of Wayne Enterprises would rock. Have Lex on the cover of Forbes or Fortune with a blurb about Bruce Wayne or Thomas Wayne.

To be honest, I really wasn't sure I was going to like this episode before I saw it.

Agreed. I thought it was a really great episode, and I was prepared to be let down after the spectacular "Arrow". I thoroughly enjoyed "Reunion".
