Yea but didnt they push this episode ahead? Will it still be in continuation from the previous episodes?

For example over at k-site, they posted this under spoilers:

UPDATED 11/15/06: Don't expect an immediate response for Lex's proposal to Lana... the actual answer won't come until January's episode "Hydro."

Which makes me think this is a filler.

this stands alone apparantly- we know it involves 33.1 - we see the facilities in the trailer- makes me also think this was moved for money- lionel moved it last episode so it saved them building two big sets.- anyway static was meant to take us into hiatus- but subterranean was moved- the cliffhangers from the last episode still apply.
