Alex Ross as an artist is great, but he an arrogant jerk. Like I said I prefer pencils then paint. Thats why I prefer a Jim Lee superman pic anyday.
My favorite stuff from Jim Lee was his mid-ninties X-Men stuff actually.
jim lee-cyclops- mid ninties=:heart::heart::heart::heart:
Oh c'mon. There's a difference between Jack LaLanne and Superman. I mean, really. LaLanne was born in Frisco.Yall do realize Superman is suppose to be like 60 years old in that picture. Even Jack Lalane wasn't ripped his whole life.
I honestly don't know if there's one official canon answer to this.Quick question, Does Superman get old(like Bob Hope old), or does he reach a max. age where he know longer ages physically and continues to look the same?Because technically if he looked like a senior citizen(with wrinkles and balding hair) his body would not be invulnerable.

My impression has always been that Superman (Kryptonians) do have finite lifespans, but they age at a much slower rate than humans. So, Kryptonians would show their ages, but not for a very long time. - in human terms.
I'm just now wondering if things would be different for Clark though, because of the effect of the yellow sun? Perhaps his longevity is magnified here like everything else.
Funny, you should mention this. I've been working (for a long time!) on a picture that reflects this very theme. I'm hoping to finish it today.

Didn't want to start a new thread for this question and since you guys were talking about Alex Ross's drawing of supes, I thought this question would be appropriate for this thread discussion.![]()
I agree bod, his Cyclops was awsome. In fact, that is my favorite costume Cyclops has worn. The Blue/Gold team era was the best for the X-Men I think when it came to story and art.![]()
Actually in the comic universe Superman becomes superman prime who lives on for millions of years and turns into a gold like being with the powers of a God single handedly resurecting a whole planet.
The Kingdom Come comic from which that was taken from is not in continuity.
So really there are many versions out there and no final answer.
Just wanted to say the deleted scene from this episode is fan-freakin-tastic. I'm disappointed it wasn't included in the episode. As much as I thought the Talon scene b/w Clark and Lana was sweet, we've seen it before. The convo b/w Clark and J'onn was infinitely more important to the overall arc of the season. If you haven't seen it yet, J'onn foreshadows the coming of Bizarro. I also liked how they explain J'onn's presence on Smallville. Not to mention the fact that Welling and Phil Morris' acting is out of the park!
