I actually agree... Other then the gliding over the street below, from one building to another, then there wasn't really that much to it. It was mostly character building for the joker... TDKR's proloque is much more suspenseful!

As much as I like the new prologue, nothing beats the Joker reveal imo.

But he is not the only one acting bad on prologue. See the mercenary who said "!! the masked mannnn !!!".

High standards. If Nolan can get great actors to do great jobs in the main roles, then people expect the rest of the acting in the films to be at least serviceable.

In the prologue, he was. His delivery was very cheesy and unnatural.

I really don't care though, the scene was too good to be brought down by his acting. Tom more than made up for it.

I think Aidan Gillen totally ruined the beginning of the prologue with his bad acting choises. Besides he seems to have naturally annoying smug look on his face. And when he said "...and only one of you!" he emphasized his words by slouching his body and hand, which only made him look really stupid.

Yeah, the acting wasn't THAT bad. I thought it was acceptable. I don't think people will watch the prologue and be put off by the acting. The scene still works extraordinarily well.

It's a comic book movie people! Expect a little cheese here and there, just like the first two movies. Can't believe people are nitpicking already. So what do some of you people on here expect? Oscar worthy performances from the damn extras and people who have one or two lines of dialogue? Jeez

in their defense they might not know him from Game of thrones and The wire like we do...

If you go just by the Prologue, yeah he wasnt anything special.

Plus the sound mix was horrible (nothing to do with the acting but i find it hard to believe that was a final audio mix) and didn't help with appreciating the acting

Of course this is best movie but you can´t avoid that moment with !!masked man!! & !!! Bane !!!, it´s a little LAME.

And i am a defensor of Nolan, don´t look at me as an enemy.

Because James Bond is the only alternative way to play an agent? No, he was just bad in this. But all blame shouldn't fall on him. He had bad script to work on anyway. And/or bad editing.
