The Dark Knight Rises 6 Minutes of TDKR footage attached to Mission Impossible 4! - - - - Part 13

Personally if I was someone who didnt know much about this movie I probably wouldnt even recognize Hardy as Bane

I think the reason why some people have a hard time understanding Bane is because the way he delivers his lines and his thick accent. Its not because of the muffled sound

That's probably a feeling shared by most people (in general), as Hardy isn't really a 'big name' and/or recognised star...yet.

Yeah after this movie his career will definitely blow up

I figured Inception and BRONSON would've blown him up by now. Probably dont realize it's him cus he looks so different bald and with a mask covering them big ol beautiful lips.

Though Inception was a hit it didn't really permeate into society like TDK did, hopefully for Hardy this will. He's an awesome guy and If it makes him happy he deserves it.

But Inception did over 800 million at the box office! I'd call that a hit, thats almost a billion bucks.

What your seeing isn't mic cords. It's the tubing for his mask, for what ever its pumping.

Erm... yes it is a microphone cord.

In one of the recent pictures of Bane walking towards Bats with the "waterfall" in the background the cord has been digitally removed. Bale couldn't hear Hardy because of the Cowl and Hardy's mask.
It's that simple, really.

If there is anything that is pumping something then it's underneath the scar running down Banes neck.
Why would he have a thin cord attached to his neck with duckttape?

It would be like the shortest Batman movie ever. Batman, basically a ninja, sneaks up on Bane and rips the tubing off.

Yeah, I'd call it a hit too but what really came out of it was "Braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam" and slow motion.

I don't think most people would remember any of the character's names.

No.

The gas is in tubes on the back of his mask and it delivers the anesthetic through the mask into his breathing.

I'd beg to differ.

For being a wholly original idea it definitely made its mark onto pop culture a great deal. The fact that there are so many memes/parodies/references etc. in regards to this film definitely means it was one of the more defining blockbusters we've had in a while.

The fact that Nolan was able to do it back to back with such a huge movie like TDK is what makes it all the more impressive.

If you're doing it by ratio fine.

But ultimately TDK made a bigger impact on culture than Inception. You say "Heath Ledger" people think Joker.

I'm not knocking Inception at all but the reason Hardy isn't huge yet is because as well received as Inception was TDK was a cultural dynamo.

Maybe you're right.

Doesn't matter though, the white cord still is a simple microphone cord.
But thanks for clearing it up. :)

I disagree to an extent. Both of them have distinct different reasons for the impact they made into pop culture.

The idea and story of Inception is what resonated with people as much as Ledgers performance as the Joker in TDK did. It wasn't a single role/performance in Inception that made it so big it was the concept of it.

While Ledgers performance propelled TDK into being such a phenomenon so did Inception with the execution of its dream concept/idea.

I have to agree with Raganork on this one. I see his point.

It'd be interesting to do a research project on this and go out and ask people to describe what Inception was about.

I'm not convinced people really know that much. Inception was big but TDK was everywhere. No popular culture outlet didn't address TDK in some way.

Not to take anything away from Ledgers performance or TDK but the media attention frenzy was certainly increased due to his death of overdose.

Inception was able to get a ton of coverage darn close to that without having that ingredient in the mix.

Yes, but there was already a buzz around Heaths performance pre-death. He died actually shooting the imagination of doctor whoever the f**k... and that TANKED.

See I'm not equalizing them, all things considered (whether fair or not) TDK was just bigger, to me.

Parnassus made 60 million dollars on an 30 million dollar budget. How did it tank?

Considering this movie is references by someone I'm with nearly anytime dreams are mentioned, I'd say Inception has made as much of a cultural impact as "Why So Serious?"

Checked Wikipedia again and I feel the fool... I thought it said the gross was 6 mil.

My mistake, and I just SERIOUSLY S**T on my own argument.

Wow, who new a Terry Gillaim flick would go on to make money one day?

*Ba Dump Tss*

Don't know if this was mentioned in here yet, but in the prologues final moments - Bane and the Dr hanging from a cord on the back of the plane just seemed so Batman and Lau to me lol
