A decent enough low budget zombie feature. Carrie-Ann Moss was kind of a badass in this but unfortunately, she isn't the lead and instead you spend a good majority of the running time with a pretty bland character. I thought the zombies in this looked pretty cool too even though they aren't onscreen a lot.

My biggest disappointment with this movie is definitely the small amount of screentime given to Frank Grillo. I don't even know if he had even 10 minutes of screentime in this but it felt short.

Well, this was definitely a unique French horror film. There's certainly lot to love and appreciate here from a technical perspective although I can't say I was super invested in any of the characters. I really liked how they handled the viral/zombie infection and how unsettling and realistic it seemed at times but just when things about to get interesting it pretty much ends and it felt pretty abrupt/unsatisfying to me. The ending left a lot to be desired IMO but overall, this was an enjoyable enough experience.

7.5/10

I doubt this will bring any new fans onboard because at this point you either enjoy these movies are you don't. I thought it was no better or worse than previous two although I did enjoy the second film a bit more. Hardy is hamming it up more than ever and honestly his awkwardness in the role makes it even funnier for me for some reason, but it seems like he at least had a good time getting those easy paychecks.

Obviously, this character deserves better, and I hope at some point we do get a more comic accurate version that does this character justice but as popcorn movies go you could do worse.

6.5/10

Before Smile 2, I found my new, "this is the worst thing ever".

They have a Wicked "silence your cellphone" thing and Grande's voice made me feel like I was experiencing the entity from Smile.
Could have been worse. She could have been Elphaba. But then Cristi Milioti could have been Glinda...

Bite-Sized Review: It's short and so perfectly sweet. A real treat for fans of old school Disney. Honestly can't believe they made this but happy they did.

I just watched Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem and I swear, I will never badmouth Alien Resurrection or Covenant again because that franchise has seen the bottom with this one. Holy ****, and I thought the first AvP was bad.

That whole hospital scene with the Predalien?

We're missing Carolyn Bracken, Hunter Schafer, Julia Garner, and Cailee Spaeny, but Glenn Close made it :funny: Still, a fabulous lineup. Anyone else missing?
LOL Glenn Close.

It's also missing Melissa Barrera, Halle Berry, Lily Sullivan, Renate Reinsve, Saleka, Samara Weaving, Lupita Nyong'o, Ingrid Torelli, Sadie Soverall, Kathryn Newton (twice), and Aisling Franciosi (twice).
My girl Kathryn Hunter getting the snub. Solange would not approve.

I'd call it one of the worst movies I've ever seen, but that implies I could see any of it.

Drizz, I really hope you weren't either a) alone or b) sober while watching that. No single person should have to watch that film without a buffer :weeping:

I haven't seen ParaNorman in years and forgot about that reference. ❤️

34. Venom: The Last Dance (2024)

Its a Venom movie. At this point, you either know what you are getting, or not. Its a stupid, dumb, bad movie, but I love it.

35. Carved (2024)

Weird movie. Feels like it almost wanted to be a pg-13 horror, but just tossed in swears and extra gore for the rating. The initial rampage was fun, and happened earlier in the film than I anticipated. Only downside, really tough to get to know the characters, much less care for them. Also, just kind of confused on some ages and statuses.

I'm picturing JD Vance saying this. :hehe:
