7.04 - Cure - Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

Those gifs will have to wait, it's taking pretty long tonight.

That was a damn good episode I can't wait and i hate how Lana is lieing to Clark what a freaking *****! He is everything you could want and you LIe to him!?!?! just stupid.

cain was great. only thing missing was someone actually referring to him as 'vandal savage'..

maybe in a return appearance hopefully.

is it just me or is the clark/lana relationship seem .... off?

last ep, lana returns.

this ep, she's making blueberry pancakes and putting flowers all over the house.

seeing lana and clark play house is just SO ODD.

Lana is hiding something...

She is the real Supergirl

a lil more good clark (tom welling) + bad clark (dean cain) interaction woulda been cool also...

Good ep.
I don't think I'm as enthused as some of you about it, but I have to admit, Dean Cain impressed me. I wasn't expecting much out of him for some reason, but he really did a great job.

So, I'm suspicious of MM now. Is that really MM? I just don't think it makes sense that he'd be at such diametric odds with Kara. One of them seems to be lying, and I don't think it's Clark's possiblespin-off cousin.

Lana - *sigh*

I guess I expected Clark to make more of an attempt to talk Chloe out of having her BRAIN operated on in order to rid herself of meteor status. And damn... I felt really bad for Jimmy. Clearly they were reflecting Clark/Lana with the Chloe/Jimmy secret-keeping leading to pushing away the one you love. So.. now what? Jimmy's a regular now, right? Will they just continue to be awkward around each other for the rest of the season?

Hulk - regarding Clark 'killing' Knox; I didn't see it that way at all. Knox had already knocked Lex unconscious and was raising the flashlight up over his head to deliver the killing blow to Lex when Clark stopped him. Granted, Clark could have hit him with a little less power (but we've seen Clark knock guys 20 feet into the air all the time and had them walk away), but Clark acted in a split second to stop Knox from killing Lex. I don't think Clark could have known there was a transformer there that Knox was going to land on. It clearly seemed like an accidental death that resulted from Clark trying to save Lex's life.

And of course, it wasn't really a death at all. :D

My favorite scene was the one where Knox's unfortunate lover was dying and Clark looked at Knox with such empathy and fear for his own future. Tom broke my heart with how he delivered in that scene.

The last Clark and Lana scene was fantastic too. There was subtext galore flying back and forth, and Tom and Kristin both nailed it.

Have I mentioned how sad this show is making me? But I love it. Even with suckass Fierce thrown in there, I'm loving S7 so far.

I think Dean was out-standing!

it's all prolly a big ol' misunderstanding...

although i fully expect to see an 'evil' supergirl sometime this season..

I thought Kara taking off was awesome. I love the flight effects!

In regards to Clark "killing" Curtis. I think at this point in his life he needs to be practicing more restraint when dealing with what he thinks are humans.

In the comics they always refer to how he has to constantly restrain and watch himself because of his strength. Clark is older now and past the point of acting in a split second without thought. He has to be conscious of his power and act accordingly. It is not an easy thing, but it is what Superman would and has to do.

How boring was that Jimmy and Chloe break-up? Jeeze, they couldnt have dragged it out any more if they tried. :whatever:

It single-handedly brought the episode down a notch for me. Someone give me a time check on it, but I could've sworn it was over 4 minutes long.

I thought it was a pretty good episode. Although I REALLY have to discipline myself to avoid watching the Youtube clips from the day prior now that the Canucks see it early--really kills it.

Dean was great, hope he comes back--very cool character I thought. I'm not thrilled with this "dark Lana" crap either but I think that whole subplot will be over after Wrath.

Kara's end flight was really cool too.

It was WAY too dragged out, but I still felt bad for Jimmy. That box of stuff he got together to show her why they belong together was so sweet. At first she seemed really excited and into it, but then she just shot him down. I thought that was kind of odd. You'd think she'd avoid looking at those things knowing that she was about to break it off with him.

I ain't gonna lie, though: Kara interacting with Jimmy was the first time I actually truly enjoyed her. Laura was great in those scenes.

Is it just me, or does anyone else notice Chloe's loss of shoes whenever she's strapped to a table....

Not that I'm complaining because that's my preference.:woot:

Just sayin'.
