7.19 - Quest - Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

Could someone describe the trailer? Thanks in advance! ;)

GREAT EPISODE, THE FINALLY NEXT WEEK LOOKS EPIC!!!:D:up:

A nice build up to the finale. That's it. Lex Luthor's story on Smallville is pretty much over. Let's hope they end Clark's story next seasons so this damn show can end already.:o

maybe. so far it's been a repeating pattern. In Descent, Clark was Superman-like. Sleeper had Clark as a BDA. The beginning of Apocalypse had Clark as a BDA but as the episode went on, Clark changed into Superman. Now we have Clark as a BDA in Quest. I'm hoping he will be like Superman in the finale when he
battles Lex in the FOS
Ok, i just watched it, and where on earth was Clark a BDA??

I don't know. People were saying he was a BDA and my mistake was taking their word for it. But I didn't see any evidence of him being BDA either.

I missed the first 10 min. Can someone let me know what happened int he beginning of the episode?

great ep. i can't wait for next week. I hope Clark realizes his destiny (finally)

Enjoyable episode. Very convoluted though. Don't really know how they're going to explain how that orb Lex was holding could actually pinpoint where the Fortress of Solitude is considering it wasn't created when the Veritas group (Swan) hid the clues.

It was sort of nice how they pieced some things together on various aspects of the show.

the location of the FOS was pre-determined, I think. It doesn't matter when it was created, but it was always supposed to be located at that exact spot.

Isn't the orb the thing Jor-el sent?

Cool episode. Not great in it's own right but it laid the foundation for next week very nicely. I really liked how it tied in a lot of things from the show's own canon with Lionel moving the mansion to Smallville, Kawatchi caves, etc.

I also didnt get the "BDA" criticisms of Clark in the ep, I thought he was fine and right in his concerns about he can do a world of harm if someone got control over him. Then again, I dont get a lot of what people say about the show, hence the reason I stopped talking on line about it for the most part.

I really hope next week is bigger than just Lex and Clark fighting in the FOS and it leaves Lex where we want him to be. I know he'll likely be back for an ep or two next season but they really need to leave Lex off at the point where he'll be when the Superman stuff starts happening in the continuity.

Till next week

Great episode tonight. The build up to the season finale was perfect. The previews looked amazing for next week as well. I thought since they showed Lana in the previews out of her coma, they should have mentioned her by name in this episode just to remind the viewers what's wrong with her. I can't wait untill next week.

I just hope Lex's story come to a good resolution next week

i think it already is he is fully Bada** villian we love to hate now

only closure his story needs is with Clark

I disagree with the BDA assessment overall. There were several times at which I heard TW's voice deepen in a very Supermanly way. That said, how did Brother Teague happen to construct all of that Kryptonian stuff while pretending to be dead for twenty years?

You can say badass on this board...

Just sayin'.....

Wasn't Jason Teague's father still around when his mom and him were in Smallville in S4? I thought in QUEST he said that he only went into hiding when his wife and son were killed.

I agree....no BDA in this episode but a guy who feels caught between a rock and a hard place AGAIN. One of his fears has been being so powerful and not being as powerful as a "God among men" but being worshiped as one. I liked at how uncomfortable again Clark was when he realized that people were doing terrible things in his name to protect him.

not a BDA in this episode but i think some people won't like chloe helping clark again

but even in movies Superman needs someone else's help to survive for example

in 1st superman movie (miss tessechmater's help) and in SR (lois and richard's help)

This episode was alright (in trying to tie-up all the lose ends ) However I just didn't enjoy this episode to the fullest extent because of all the Da Vinci Code crap . And once again Chloe saving Clark .

Next Week is the season 7 finale, I'd like to see how they end Lex Luthor's arc on the series over the past seven seasons .

Well people need to get over that, he was strapped to a table surrounded by kryptonite, all she did was drain the stuff so he'd get his strength back, and then Clark took action. Honestly you could say Chloe saved him and Oliver made it possible.

QFT!

When kryptonite is involved of course Clark will need help. It's his biggest weakness. He can't do much of anything when he's affected by it.

That didn't bother me, although I had wondered how Chloe had gotten there so fast.

Ollie's help explained that, but Chloe being his "hero hag" made me laugh..

Yeah, but that's going on the assumption that someone would have collected the stones from season 4, found the portal in the caves, and constructed the FOS. Seems rather improbable to me.

Isn't the orb the thing Jor-el sent?

Yes. THat's one thing I thought was ******ed. Jor-El thought to send his baby boy to Earth but hid clues around the world on how to control him??

They've already stated and created their own canon that Jor-El purposely chose the Kents to raise Kal-El. Why not just simply place in his spaceship instructions on how to control the kid.

LOL, "Behold, this is my son. Beware of the terrible twos. If he throws a temper tandrum just use this device."

Also what's this BDA mean that everyone keeps talking about.

BDA=Big Dumb Alien=Clark doing stupid things
