The Dark Knight 7 Minute Prologue of The Joker attached to IMAX screenings of 'I Am Legend'

Somebody explain to me the difference between filmed in IMAX and not? The ice-tundra cinematography in Batman Begins looked fairly IMAXish to me but obviously it isn't.

well the main difference is the physical size of the fim Thinner, 35mm in regular movies and 70mm in IMAX. so you get a bigger, more detailed image

The Tumbler on fire looked pretty cool, as did the car explosion and that building explosion. Other than that, nothing much to see here.

Are there any noticeable differences on, say, a normal TV once the DVD is out?

well, you wouldnt really get the IMAX presentation on a DVD, kinda defeats the object of the format :)

good find, there's a quick glimpse of the tumbler hopping and then exploding from behind. Wonder if that's the tumbler getting blown up.,

It is not blowing up, just jumping a car. I was there on set for that one... it was friggin sweeeeet!

I disagree. I think the picture would be alot more detailed, even on a regular DVD. But I see what you're saying.

I disagree. Unless we're talking HD format, the quality limitations of SD DVD would make the difference between Imax and standard filming almost imperceivable.

Oh, I hope when the jumping tank leaps over a car that it almost crushes the people inside, but doesn't quite, because that would be unrealistic.

I dunno man. I'm not doubting what you saw on set, but that was an awful lot of fire coming from the Tumbler for just a jump over a car.

and looks-wise, there is something about about bale in general that looks like val kilmers batman. not acting wise, just lookswise. that also doesnt take a rocket scientist to see.

That is soooooo a matter of opinion.

umm its a BTS fall, not "from the film" fall. it will look better in the the actual film. who knows, maybe they were just "testing" the suit for a scene, prepping for a shot, etc. but its still cool to see some moving footage for once.

Yes, I was going to post that it was probably just a BTS, but I left in a hurry. Whatever the case, I liked it. Who knows? Maybe when the fall in Arkham Asylum (in BB) would have been better if they had just used a simple wide shot of it.

I'm guessing the car goes too...coupled with the blast from the back end of the tumbler.

Cool clip, but I'm very disappointed that there's not a glimpse, even a brief one, of a certain character who wears make-up, and I'm not talking about Rachel.
